Wu Chao's "badness"
"Guardian Shaji, I've heard your shamanic arts are formidable. I, Ma Gaofa, would like to exchange a few pointers with you!"
Half-crouched on the ground, Ma Gaofa's face shifted between ashen and pale.
What Wu Chao had said was true. Whether Linna Shaji had meant to or not, the person she had urged her demon horse to trample was Xiong State's fourth prince.
No one could dispute that.
Wu Chao was an incantation master, and his body had limited strength. If the demon horse trampled him, he would most likely be killed.
Such a collision was almost tantamount to murdering a prince. As a guardian, Ma Gaofa had both reason and duty to step forward.
He slowly rose and drew a long staff from his back. Planting it against the ground, he fixed his gaze on Linna Shaji as well.
"How interesting!"
Sitting in the carriage, Linna Shaji looked at the furious Wu Chao, then at the extremely wary Ma Gaofa, who had drawn his long staff, before sweeping her gaze over the many slaves in the prince's residence holding swords and sabers.
Once Wu Chao had spoken, the many people who held her in awe had no choice but to draw their swords and sabers and aim their bows at her.
Even a hero's two fists could not fight off four hands. If faced with a sudden attack, spellcasters would be at a disadvantage.
By asking to exchange pointers, Ma Gaofa had avoided the ugly possibility of a group beating while fulfilling Wu Chao's demand and avoiding conflict between members of the ancestral lands.
As long as they tested each other's skills, Linna Shaji yielded a little, and then verbally asked Wu Chao's forgiveness, the matter would be over once Wu Chao had vented his anger.
At least, that
