The Third Matter
The Yin-Yang School also has the concept of the Five Elements.
Yin and Yang and the Five Elements are involved in the harmonization and generation of elixirs, thus allowing Zhang Xuezhou to prepare medicines freely and at will.
Divine Lord Zhenyuan's Five Elements involve the transformation of the Five Elements. When the body's conditions are met, he can transform into Earth to strengthen his own defense, Metal to sharpen his own striking power, Water to soften himself and enhance his resistance, Fire to make himself more ethereal and enhance his evasion ability, and Wood to nourish himself and feel the vitality of the earth, thereby healing himself.
This Five Elements technique does not involve Five Elements Escape Technique; it focuses on the wonders brought about by the cyclical changes of the Five Elements in the body.
When given the opportunity, Zhang Xuezhou practiced the Shadow Follower Technique.
The fact that he can play around like this while practicing Technique Method means that he has indeed found the balance point of the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique.
Like a cat curled up in a hole, Zhang Xuezhou slowly crawled out from under the triangular stool. His soft, water-like body stood up like bricks, returning to its normal human form.
"What kind of technique is this? You eat pills like they're beans!"
Only after Zhang Xuezhou's form was finalized did Divine Lord Zhenyuan speak up and ask a question.
"This is the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique, Technique Method belonging to the Medical School of the Great Han Dynasty. It requires the consumption of elixirs during its practice," Zhang Xuezhou explained.
"Medical School Technique Method?" Divine Lord Zhenyuan hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are they very powerful?"
Divine Lord Zhenyuan had been in Chang'an City for over a year, and he had gained some understanding of cultivation practices in the Great Han Dynasty.
The Medical School, as the name suggests, is a school of thought that focuses on treating patients. This school emphasizes the ability to cure diseases, but it doesn't have much to offer in other areas.
However, Technique Method that catches Zhang Xuezhou's eye must be of high quality, and Divine Lord Zhenyuan was indeed somewhat curious.
"This Technique Method is used to prevent medical disputes after they fail to heal patients," Zhang Xuezhou said. "After mastering it, one can be stabbed in the back and survive!"
"That sounds impressive," Divine Lord Zhenyuan praised.
"I only learned it because I thought it was very powerful, but this kind of Technique Method doesn't seem easy to demonstrate!"
Zhang Xuezhou was somewhat eager to try, but ultimately gave up the idea, as cutting off his own limbs for verification would be too difficult.
Although he didn't dare to try anything reckless, Zhang Xuezhou still decided to consider his seventh stage of cultivation as complete.
His gaze swept around the prayer mat, then fell upon the empty medicine.
During his seventh transformation, the Tenfold Complete Great Tonic Pill he used consisted of 360 medium-grade pills, 18 high-grade pills, and 6 top-grade pills.
The use of elixirs was within Zhang Xuezhou's calculations, and it also emptied ninety percent of the Tenfold Complete Great Tonic Pill" he had on him.
Based on the success rate of producing top-grade and supreme- Tenfold Complete Great Tonic Pill, it would indeed be difficult for him to advance to the eighth stage in the future.
The powerful physical body required an extremely high amount of pills when combined with the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique, causing him to expend far more energy than a normal Medical School cultivator, but Zhang Xuezhou felt it was worth the price.
His body did indeed have tissues that resembled a resistance layer, allowing him to hold his breath and regulate his qi.
When he holds his breath, his body maintains the strength of his physical body techniques by following the changes of the five elements. When he gathers his breath, he will passively turn into a soft mud-like state like flowing water, so that his body will not be damaged after being cut.
Whether this is actually the case remains to be seen until he undergoes surgery.
Zhang Xuezhou took the Fish Intestine Sword from his Lesser Heaven and Earth Bag, gestured at his body several times, but couldn't bring himself to stab it.
"Alright, alright, stop showing off. It's best if you never need to use this kind of skill in your entire life!"
When Divine Lord Zhenyuan saw Zhang Xuezhou, he was excited and wanted to try it, but he didn't dare to, feeling that the technique Zhang Xuezhou had learned was too obscure.
"I think so too, but wouldn't it be a bit of a waste if I never used it in my life?"
Zhang Xuezhou pondered for a few seconds, realizing that his mindset after successfully mastering the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique was indeed quite conflicted.
On the one hand, he didn't want to get hurt, but on the other hand, if he didn't get hurt, it would seem like he had wasted hundreds, even thousands, of pills, and thinking about it this way, he felt a little unwilling.
"I've never encountered such an awkward Technique Method before," Divine Lord Zhenyuan commented.
"This Technique Method is somewhat awkward," Zhang Xuezhou finally said, reluctantly putting down the Fish Intestine Sword Technique he had used for testing.
Successfully mastering the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique is something to celebrate, but if we don't consider the unexpected boost that combining it with the Five Elements Technique brings to the Following Like a Shadow Technique, it doesn't really change the overall strength.
Zhang Xuezhou is the same person he was before, and he hasn't shown any external strength because of the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique.
"Your training this time is much less risky than the last one!"
Seeing that Zhang Xuezhou had swallowed hundreds of pills and wasted his time without being able to use his Technique Method at all, Divine Lord Zhenyuan could only praise Zhang Xuezhou for his smooth and low-risk cultivation this time.
"Speaking of risks, let's go for something high-risk!"
Zhang Xuezhou scratched his head, feeling that his thinking and comprehension were exceptionally fast after chewing the poisonous leaves.
At this moment, he can freely practice Technique Method and also discuss the path of Technique Method cultivation with Divine Lord Zhenyuan. After all, there is a difference in realm between him and Divine Lord Zhenyuan, and without some special condition, it would be easy for him to fall behind.
Having abandoned the seventh stage of the Nine Revolutions Qi Uniting Technique, Zhang Xuezhou quickly finished his mission and entered into another purpose for his visit to Broken Soul Ridge.
"It seems you're preparing to do a third thing?" Divine Lord Zhenyuan asked with interest.
"I have a little trick for cultivating Divine Ability Technique Method that I'd like some guidance on," Zhang Xuezhou said. "Another thing is seeking guidance on how to advance a Qi Refining cultivator's Realm Technique. I hope we can work together to promote this!"
"Oh?"
Compared to Zhang Xuezhou's Technique Method, Divine Lord Zhenyuan was clearly more interested in discussing the Dao.
The difference between cultivators in the Divine Ability Realm and those in the True Self Realm is significant, much like the difference between elementary and middle school students when discussing mathematical levels.
However, Zhang Xuezhou is a rather exceptional cultivator at the Divine Ability Realm. Divine Lord Zhenyuan had discussed this with Zhang Xuezhou in the past, from initial nonchalance to later cautious treatment.
Zhang Xuezhou lacked depth in cultivation theory, but Zhang Xuezhou practical skills were extremely high. His mastery of some Technique Method was comparable even to that of the True Self Realm cultivators.
The reason for Zhang Xuezhou's high level of magical Technique Method is that Zhang Xuezhou developed Divine Ability powers.
Hearing that Zhang Xuezhou was constructing Divine Ability Technique Method in a targeted manner, seeking to enter the Sole Self Realm and achieve a second Divine Ability, Divine Lord Zhenyuan became very interested.
"Forgetting and forgetting, preserving the unique, creating choices where there are no other choices?"
"This does eliminate chaos and disorder, but the drawbacks are also obvious. If one technique fails, there are no other options, which could very likely delay the opportunity to break through to a higher realm!"
"Most importantly, cultivators' Technique Method have become instinctive; how can you possibly forget and disregard them?"
If you forget something and then pick it up again, can you restore it to its original state?
Zhang Xuezhou's point of view is very interesting. It is similar to that of some cultivators in the Great Han Dynasty who focus on realms and only seek the necessary Technique Method for cultivation. From the very beginning, they blocked the source of chaos and guarded against the disorder and chaos of Divine Ability Technique Method.
However, these types of cultivators mostly represent those with high cultivation levels but low abilities, as their various methods are not commensurate with their cultivation level.
Divine Lord Zhenyuan and Zhang Xuezhou answered each other's questions one by one.
It's clear that Zhang Xuezhou wasn't acting recklessly, and Divine Lord Zhenyuan was also giving it serious thought.
"The Emperor possesses the Haotian Divine Mirror," said Divine Lord Zhenyuan. "Anyone who looks in the mirror can recall their past, which can restore forgotten memories to the greatest extent possible. But how can one forget these memories?"
"Teacher, you have such a magical mirror?" Zhang Xuezhou asked in surprise. "If this mirror can restore memories, how come it can't restore memories?"
"It also has the ability to cause amnesia," Divine Lord Zhenyuan nodded, "But when the Haotian Divine Mirror shines, it seizes a person's three souls and seven spirits, causing them to vanish into thin air. It's not suitable for your selective amnesia!"
Zhang Xuezhou's biggest problem is that he wants to create forgetting, but selectively forget parts of it, rather than completely losing his memory.
This kind of desire to have both is extremely difficult and beyond the reach of ordinary people.
But as the discussion continued, Divine Lord Zhenyuan finally remembered that there was someone who was very likely to do this.
