Allied Forces and Rebel Forces
The Scarlet Alliance State's Sequence Holder groups demand high prices, but inviting high-order Sequence Holder groups from the British Alliance State is very inexpensive.
The British Alliance State, led by Grenas, seized power through conquest and warfare, and they relished this kind of disorder and chaos.
Unlike Zhang Xuezhou and his group, who only dealt in acquiring resources through transactions, Grenas and his group used the pretext of assisting in quelling the rebellion to exploit others, targeting any high- Sequence Lineage that did not belong to the Montes Lineage.
Once the Montes Lineage enters the Aomeijia Alliance under an official invitation, many things are no longer under their control.
Whether someone belongs to the rebels is not up to Daniel and his group to decide, but rather to Grenas and his group.
This method of acquiring resources is far easier than at the negotiating table.
If they didn't want to be too obvious, Grenas and his group could even help quell the rebellion 'for free'.
"Long time no see, Omega!"
Zhang Xuezhou and Ren Anran's output was meager, and even with Zhang Manqian's help, it was still limited. Even with temporary control over their opponents, they found it difficult to break through the resistance layer of the Seventh Sequence individuals.
But suppressing those of the Sixth Sequence was simple and easy for them.
In the short time that the overwhelming pressure of the realm had intimidated him, Daniel's shackles not only tightened around his own neck, but also around the neck of his pursuer, Omega.
Zhang Xuezhou called out, and Daniel and Omega finally snapped out of their daze.
"Why... why did you tie me up?"
Upon seeing the switch Zhang Xuezhou was holding, Omega glanced at the buckle around his neck, and a look of horror quickly appeared on his face.
"Don't press those buttons randomly!"
Daniel's lock is not a particularly sophisticated weapon, but it is equipped with methods such as electric shock and explosives sealed inside the lock.
Some patrol members from wealthy families are very fond of using this weapon. The simple locks can restrain and subdue ordinary people, the electric shocks from the locks have a wider range, and the explosive methods bring technological advantages and are very popular in the lower sequence levels.
This kind of lock wouldn't normally fit around Omega's neck, and Omega wouldn't deign to wear such a beginner's genetic weapon.
But when the lock actually went around her neck, most of the color drained from her face.
Seeing Zhang Xuezhou playing with the switch of the Daniel lock, Omega was shocked and stood up to grab it.
But in an instant, she saw Zhang Xuezhou casually press down, and a tingling and stinging sensation immediately appeared around her neck. Omega felt her legs become a little unsteady, and her mind went blank for a moment.
"You were actually unconscious outside our car, and you were locked in by Daniel's latch. I studied it for a while, but I couldn't open it!"
Once Omega regained her footing, Zhang Xuezhou's words reached her ears, and she also saw the controller that Zhang Xuezhou had dismantled.
"Don't touch that!" Omega exclaimed in alarm.
"This latch doesn't seem to be able to be forcibly broken; violent destruction would trigger an explosion," Zhang Xuezhou said.
"I know, please don't take it apart!"
Omega knew perfectly well that she couldn't be subdued by Daniel, but she knew even more that the shackle around her neck could easily kill someone.
Without reaching the Seventh Sequence, Omega would never willingly risk his life to withstand a point-blank gunpowder explosion.
"Looks like you'll have to wait for a bomb disposal expert to solve it for you!"
Zhang Xuezhou shrugged and casually tossed Daniel's controller aside, causing Omega to tremble with fear for a while.
"My God, you guys..."
"Are you a member of the resistance?"
After regaining consciousness, Daniel did not speak first, but instead observed Omega's fate.
When Omega was electrocuted and unable to resist, Daniel realized he had run into a jinx.
Zhang Xuezhou glanced over, and Daniel was startled. He then wanted to utter a string of profanities to beg for mercy.
Zhang Xuezhou was clearly uninterested in his words and instead asked directly about Daniel's identity.
"I'm not a rebel," Daniel quickly retorted.
"So you're an ally of the Montes Lineage?" Zhang Xuezhou asked.
"I... I just..."
"It seems you're neither a rebel nor an ally!"
Yes, yes, yes!
"A spineless opportunist like you is worthless; it wouldn't matter if you died!"
After Zhang Xuezhou asked a few questions and Daniel agreed, Daniel felt his heart pounding, and he stammered and began to tremble with fear.
"I... I... I'm actually an ally. We've always protected the interests of the Alliance States," Daniel stammered.
"Omega, do you even kill allied soldiers?" Zhang Xuezhou asked, turning to Omega, whose face was gloomy.
"The entire Grian Lineage are rebels!" Omega gritted his teeth. "We are a counter-insurgency assistance organization invited by the Aomeijia Alliance. We are currently eliminating rebel groups. You can't treat me like this!"
"It's a real pity that our two countries made some different choices," Zhang Xuezhou sighed.
"What, your Scarlet Alliance State has chosen to assist the rebels?"
Omega was startled, realizing he now fully understood the origins of his undeserved misfortune.
The Allied forces and the rebels were engaged in fierce fighting, and the high- Sequence Holder groups invited by both sides also began to make contact.
Omega's heart sank at the thought of the British Alliance State's main force of just over ten people, along with the assistance group of hundreds of Sequence Holder, and then compared to the Scarlet Alliance State's Sequence Holder led by Ren Yisheng.
"How could you possibly choose to assist the rebels? You..."
"Whoever offers the highest price will be chosen!"
Omega asked through gritted teeth, while Zhang Xuezhou responded casually.
Omega saw nothing wrong with what he said; it couldn't possibly be for justice and peace that someone would travel thousands of miles to the Aomeijia Alliance and risk their life.
If we remove the high-sounding reasons, all that's left is a struggle for interests. It's only natural to help whoever offers the highest price. After all, the feud Aomeijia Alliance and the Scarlet Alliance State has lasted for decades, so choosing to assist the rebels isn't unreasonable.
"So what?" Zhang Xuezhou drawled, "You're now our prisoner. If any of our people are foolish enough to fall into your hands, we'll exchange you for them!"
"Um!"
"You'd better pray that none of us die on your side, or we'll be in a real bind!"
"I'm currently communicating with the Lineage. We haven't encountered any of your Scarlet Alliance State's Sequence Holder yet, so such a thing couldn't possibly happen on our side!"
Omega touched her right side, and only after Zhang Xuezhou tossed her a communicator did she grab it.
The Aomeijia Alliance can be in turmoil, but the British Alliance State must not clash with the Sequence Holder Group of the Scarlet Alliance State during its sweeps. After all, there is no conflict of interest or competition between the two sides, and fighting to the death would be completely unprofitable.
Omega didn't care that Zhang Xuezhou was spying on her phone and seeing her contact number. She quickly dialed a temporary number and then contacted Naggus, who was 'suppressing the rebellion' in the Grean Lineage.
