Rebirth After Destruction
How could there be such a small chaotic world?
In the beginning of time, chaos created all things, and powerful creatures emerged endlessly from the mud, rain, and water.
This is something that happened in the Three Realms, and the teachings that the Emperor received included elements of chaos.
Everything that belongs to the realm of chaos, whether powerful or possessing spirituality, is transformed by the mysteries of creation.
But the chaotic world that the Emperor saw was too small.
This place is so small it seems unreal; it doesn't resemble a world at all, but rather a large, secret realm.
The world is full of wonders, but the wonders of secret realms are bound to be several levels lower.
The emperor was both saddened and delighted at the same time.
He was saddened by his own dire situation, but delighted to have witnessed the legendary scene of the world after chaos, when heaven and earth were first clearly separated. This gave him a sense of satisfaction, like the saying, "If I hear the truth in the morning, I can die content in the evening."
The only drawback is that the size of the chaotic world is finite.
Of course, this statement is relative.
This area is far inferior to any other world, but if compared to a secret realm, it is the world's top-tier and unique secret realm, even surpassing the former Kunlun.
Where's the staff?
Zhang Xuezhou didn't have any particular concept of the chaotic world; after all, the more pressing matter at hand was to achieve time travel.
Even if we can't move everyone out, we should at least move enough food in.
The group entered this place to defeat Donghua, and they carried mostly combat supplies rather than survival items.
The fact that everyone has been able to hold on until now is partly due to their hopes for Zhang Xuezhou, who has a clear timeframe in mind, and partly due to the drastic changes brought about by the Sinkhole No. 2, which has altered their living environment.
"Then..."
Zhang Xuezhou's search for the staff yielded no results, so he could only inquire with others to see if combining the Emperor's knowledge could yield any results.
Ren Anran was in charge of the explanation.
Among the many contenders who entered the main hall, Ren Anran suffered the least damage.
This is not only due to the protective power left by the Xuanqi Heavy Armor, but more importantly, Ren Anran is fighting as a Yang Soul incarnation. The Yang Soul incarnation avoids many physical attacks, and even if the incarnation is killed, it will not lose its life.
That is why Ren Anran knew the most detailed information.
Even so, Ren Anran still couldn't figure out all these changes.
That was indeed a huge explosion.
The sword that Zhang Xuezhou threw exploded in the hall like a small sun, radiating countless rays of light and heat.
For a moment, Ren Anran felt as if she had melted away.
"I don't know what happened, but the power of the explosion seemed to have found an outlet!"
Ren Anran pointed to the sky.
That was originally the direction where the Soul-Locking Pillar was located, stretching as far as the eye could see. The Soul-Locking Pillar had disappeared, and the dead souls that had been endlessly reincarnating no longer clamored. The original location had turned into a lake, constantly gathering the falling rainwater.
"When the main hall was blown open by the explosion, the upward explosive force abruptly disappeared at the outlet, while the downward force detonated the entire Soul-Locking Pillar," Ren Anran said.
"We were supposed to withstand the power of the explosion, but for some reason, that black rock mountain absorbed most of the power, and we were lucky enough to survive," Chimmon Hagrid said.
"Nags, do you know something else?" Badun asked.
"I've been blown to bits, what do you think I could possibly know?" Nagos said, annoyed.
"I saw what you were holding. Did that thing come in handy?" Badun asked.
"That was a gift from Zhang Xuezhou, don't get any ideas," Nagus said urgently. "This thing isn't suitable for you either!"
"I just want to know if there's a connection. I'm somewhat interested in your stuff, but definitely not as much as you think," Badun said.
"That's definitely not the case!"
Nags shook his head repeatedly, indicating that he was not involved.
"Don't worry, I won't regret giving it to you. You don't need to hide it under your tongue anymore; it's making it hard to speak properly!"
Zhang Xuezhou glanced at Nagos, then pointed at Nagos's mouth, causing blood to spill from Nagos's charred old face, indicating that his nervousness was genuine.
Since Naggus could stuff it into his mouth, many things had little to do with the Fire Crystal.
"Where's the red crystal from your sword?" Zhang Xuezhou continued to ask.
"It caused such a huge explosion that it might have been completely destroyed, or it might have been blown away by the shockwave to who knows where!"
Nagos rolled his tongue, moved the crystal he had been hiding in his mouth to his cheek, and replied dejectedly.
If Zhang Xuezhou hadn't been willing to give away this immortal divine stone, Naggs felt he had suffered a huge loss this time.
This is not just about the trauma; it also involves the loss of his trump card.
Everyone fears the Naggus wielding the sword; even Badun doesn't want to face him. But without the explosive sword, the Naggus are in a weak position, and perhaps some Seventh Sequence individuals are eager to try their luck.
His situation was like this: having lost his sword, Nagoth had placed almost all his hopes on this crystal that still had its former owner.
"What are you seeing down below?" Zhang Xuezhou asked.
"It was practically a cataclysmic event," Zhou Rihui, whose physical functions were still relatively active, replied. "We were hitting mud figures down there while also watching over Ren Anran's body when we suddenly noticed a red glow flashing from the black stone mountain behind us. Then we heard an explosion, a sound that caused the entire mountain to collapse!"
"We originally thought this landslide would kill a lot of people," Changkong Yinghao said, "But somehow the mountain turned to ash almost instantly, like wildly burning vegetation. After the cataclysmic event, all that was left was the falling dust, like someone was pouring coal ash on your head!"
"We got a little cleaner after being washed by the rain. The situation at the beginning was really indescribable," Changkong Yinglian added, looking up. "Then, the mud and rain nourished everything, and all sorts of weird and poisonous plants sprouted up and kept growing!"
I'm so hungry!
Li Qi muttered something upon hearing the plant.
Li Qi likely played a part in verifying whether a plant was poisonous; otherwise, Li Qi wouldn't have chimed in.
Qin Zhong, Bi Dazhi, and the others standing to the side didn't even want to speak. They just rolled their eyes, indicating that they were too tired and hungry to talk.
The situation is one at the foot of the mountain, and another at the top.
Thanks to the thick dust floating in the air, the buoyancy of the many people falling was extremely high, and their falling speed was extremely slow, so they did not end up being killed. Things were not as bad as Zhang Xuezhou had imagined.
"Donghua's Soul-Locking Pillar seems to be related to the Tree Chair, and that scepter is also related to the Tree Chair; they were very likely ignited at the same time!"
Zhang Xuezhou could only speculate based on the relevant information.
The mallard might know more, but the other party wasn't here, and Zhang Xuezhou couldn't wait for the mallard to communicate.
Suddenly, I felt that the future wasn't so bleak after all!
Zhang Xuezhou pondered how to safely escape the distortion, while the Emperor murmured to himself.
"It's not too late to start working hard at 1,900 years old. Such unique conditions can make some people successful. As long as I can find a body, restoring my former cultivation level is not a dream. I might even be able to advance further."
Looking at Zhang Xuezhou, whose appearance was completely different, the Emperor felt that Zhang Xuezhou was doing quite well in the Outer Heavens.
Zhang Xuezhou relied on his connections in Kunlun, and the Emperor didn't mind coming to the Heavenly Empress's side to seek Zhang Xuezhou's support.
He even saw the celestial woman with whom he had previously discussed the Dao. The Emperor's soul, supported by resentment and anger, became more natural, and his concepts quickly returned to normal.
He began to look forward to Zhang Xuezhou and others returning to the vast, otherworldly realm beyond.
But as Zhang Xuezhou and the others continued to discuss how to get out and bring food in, the Emperor felt that something was increasingly wrong.
