The Ninth Sequence is very distant, and even for Zhang Xuezhou, it is not entirely certain that he will reach it.
For most people, the Seventh Sequence is a real pursuit.
It was a rare occasion for so many committee members to gather in North Rehe. The second phase of the allocation meeting entered the lottery stage, where whoever drew the first number would be the first to undergo the sequential push experiment.
This experiment is no different from a crash course lock; the repeated operation is a repetitive task for Zhang Xuezhou.
However, there is an interesting aspect to helping others enter the Seventh Sequence: Zhang Xuezhou needs to analyze the Gene Fighting Technique of others in order to tailor-make human reaction equations for them. This kind of tailor-making requires extremely high deductive ability, which also passively trains Zhang Xuezhou's ability to synthesize and summarize, and even guides the tempering of his mental strength.
"With the A6 laboratory's ability to mass-produce Seventh Sequence individuals, wouldn't you be able to build an army of Sequence Holder in the future?"
With his own resistance layer successfully formed, even the taciturn Zhang Huang couldn't help but ask.
"Difficult, difficult, difficult!"
Zhang Xuezhou waved his hand.
The process of expanding from a single laboratory to multiple laboratories will take a very long time.
Currently, no one can replace Luo Burang, nor can anyone replace Zhang Xuezhou; replicating their achievements is extremely difficult.
Even though Luo Burang had a report on the generation of gene fluid from each beast extract, and Zhang Xuezhou had a derivation process for creating the human body reaction equation, most of the researchers in the group were still confused. Even repeating the same experiment was difficult.
The number of individuals who meet the criteria for advancement to the Sixth Sequence is ultimately limited. Even with the cooperation of Zhang Xuezhou and others in the experiment, a sufficient number of experimental subjects are still required.
Knowing that the number of Sixth Sequence individuals was limited, and that the types and quantities of extracts from ferocious beasts were insufficient, coupled with the production of R36 catalyst, Zhang Xuezhou and his colleagues did not show any impatience as they continued to repeat the experiments.
He and Luo Burang even accelerated their pace, working for several days to help Zhang Manqian, Ning Que, Luo Burang, Zhang Hao, and Zhang Huang form their resistance layer.
"It takes time to prepare and culture the gene solution, so we can only wait half a month before proceeding with the experiment!"
Seeing Li Yingbo stand up excitedly, Luo Burang in the observation room quickly calmed Li Yingbo down with a simple remark.
Zhang Xuezhou currently has some free time, while Luo Burang has exhausted his training material and needs to be trained again.
Once Luo Burang has fully developed his skills, Zhang Xuezhou will once again fall into a recurring vegetative state.
Even though Li Yingbo had served as chairman for several years and his long tenure had given him a calm demeanor, it still took him a moment to calm his racing heart.
"This pace of advancement is already incredibly fast!"
From the start of promoting the Seventh Sequence Grian to the end of Zhang Huang's Seventh Sequence, a full two weeks were spent promoting the development of resistance layers for seven Sequence Holder.
This speed far exceeded the previous guarantee of one person per month, and no one would complain about it.
Zhang Huang's question sounded absurd, yet it almost became a reality.
Li Yingbo didn't think he couldn't wait another half month. It was impossible for him to suddenly age or die in that half month due to a lack of resistance.
"Don't worry, everything will fall into place once the technology is stable!"
Zhang Xuezhou looked at Li Yingbo, then compared him to Zhang Manqian, who had abundant beast extracts, then to Ning Que, who had extremely high spiritual power, then to Luo Burang, who was in a similar situation, and then to the Emperor and Huang. Many of them either had abundant resources or possessed sufficient spiritual advantages. In comparison, Li Yingbo's conditions were indeed somewhat worse, and Luo Burang needed to make as many preparations as possible.
"I'm not in such a hurry," Li Yingbo chuckled dryly, "It's just that realizing past dreams is making it hard to suppress my excitement!"
"The Seventh Sequence is just the beginning; the road to realizing your dreams is still long!"
The emergence of the resistance layer allows people to maintain a relatively long period of youth, but this is only the beginning. The Gene Fighting Technique of the Sequence Holder need to be developed, and their mental abilities need to be promoted until they derive control.
The transition from being able to take a beating with a margin of error to taking the initiative requires a considerable amount of time for those in the Seventh Sequence to adapt.
This can be aided by modern technological advancements in weaponry, thereby gaining the ability to deliver damage in a short period of time. However, this ability is ultimately unsustainable; it can be used but not relied upon indefinitely.
Zhang Xuezhou and Li Yingbo walked in sync and constantly exchanged ideas.
Li Yingbo is the leader of the Scarlet Alliance State, and his ideology influences a vast group of people. Zhang Xuezhou clearly does not want Li Yingbo to stop at the Seventh Sequence.
He spoke in hushed tones, engaging in continuous conversation while also offering guidance on higher sequence levels, making it clear to Li Yingbo the gene therapy and other advancements needed for the Eighth Sequence.
Why is Badun here again?
As Li Yingbo walked out of the A6 laboratory, he touched his pocket and then quickly took out his communicator.
After glancing at it, Li Yingbo connected to Montes Badun's private number.
"Chairman Li, please allow passage, please allow entry into North Rehe, please allow a meeting with Committee Member Zhang!"
Badun's voice came through the communicator quickly, and he swiftly explained his requirements.
"They're looking for you," Li Yingbo said helplessly.
"Sir Badun, what a coincidence that we were able to meet through Commissioner Li's communicator..."
"Professor Zhang, how did you manage to subdue that red spider so easily? There are still six ferocious spider beasts in the Spider God Cave, and we really can't handle them. Please help us!"
Before Zhang Xuezhou could finish his polite, lighthearted remarks, Badun quickly dropped all pretenses and directly requested assistance.
"I helped Naggs stabilize his position in the British Alliance State, and we almost got wiped out at the Spider God's Cave," Badun said anxiously. "You led your team to Brampeda without even informing us, and then ran away after killing one spider? What do you mean by that? You should have helped us out more!"
Zhang Xuezhou went to Brampada, while Badun seized the last month of the freezing period in the northern region of the Aomeijia Alliance to launch his attack.
Of course, the task was not accomplished.
If there's any progress, it's that no one died this time.
However, Badun found it difficult to determine whether the fact that no one died was due to the group's increased experience or the fact that one of the ferocious spiders was missing, which allowed them to escape successfully.
He got all disheveled in the Spider God's Cave, only to find out upon returning to Brampeda that Zhang Xuezhou and his group had subdued a ferocious spider beast. He then dusted himself off and went back to China.
Just thinking about the comparison of their records makes Badun's liver ache terribly.
If Zhang Xuezhou and the others could take advantage of the frozen period to assist, Badun felt that the danger of the Spider God's Cave had been eliminated, and only the ritual to destroy the Spider God remained.
"Your Aomeijia Alliance too dangerous! We even encountered ferocious beasts in the city of Brampeda, and they almost wiped us out. If I don't run away, will you guarantee our safety?" Zhang Xuezhou complained.
"I need help, or you can tell me how to subdue that spider-like beast," Badun pleaded urgently.
"I just pulled off its blackened thigh, and it wilted. It no longer has the invincible ability to recover. You can try pulling it off too," Zhang Xuezhou said.
"Draw your leg?"
Badun swallowed hard on the communicator.
Zhang Xuezhou's words are simple, but few can replicate them.
The leg hairs of the ferocious spider are similar to needles that can pierce the body; ordinary body cultivators simply cannot withstand them and will be instantly pierced upon contact.
Even with a protective layer, the spider's leg hairs can cause poisoning if they get stuck in the body, not to mention the potential for injury.
Badun's current strategy is to attract hatred by attacking, and then disperse these ferocious spiders by fleeing.
His strategy was flawless, even to the point that Genas strongly agreed with it.
But Badun didn't expect that Zhang Xuezhou and his group would overpower the master with a flurry of punches and directly subdue the ferocious spider beast.
If he cannot perfectly attract the ferocious spider's hatred while maintaining constant control, Badun must imitate the process by which Zhang Xuezhou and others subdued the ferocious spider, lest he enter the Spider God's Cave and encounter a coordinated attack from the ferocious spider.
Moreover, Badun doesn't have much time left.
Perhaps it was because of his repeated visits to the Spider God's Cave, perhaps it was because the ice was beginning to thaw, or perhaps it was because Zhang Xuezhou and the others subdued a ferocious spider beast. These incredibly fast-moving beasts seemed to have marked him with hatred and were very likely to hunt him down in the near future.
