Fortuitous Opportunity
Daojun received an answer, but felt that it wasn't the answer he wanted.
Few emperors were willing to die for him; they only went to contribute the 'luck' that emperors possessed.
The emperors of small countries have little "luck," so it's of little use to someone of the caliber of Sacred Land's ruler.
However, even the emperors of great nations are not so easily made puppets.
Furthermore, because emperors held a special position and were considered to possess the dynasty's fortune, plotting against an emperor's "fortune" could easily backfire, resulting in more harm than good.
To perfectly obtain the fortune of an emperor requires many conditions.
For example, it cannot be directed against the emperor; secondly, the emperor must be willing to contribute his "luck"; thirdly, the emperor must not be concerned about his descendants; and fourthly, someone else must take action to cause the emperor to act in a manner similar to entrusting his son to another.
Most importantly, this requires the emperor to possess 'energy'.
Only by possessing the 'energy body' can an emperor have enough power to break down his own 'energy body' and thus benefit others.
"Unlucky!"
In just a few questions to Zhang Xuezhou, Daojun had already fully understood the cause and effect.
The matter is not difficult to judge; if he were to go to the Southern Jambudvipa Continent and inquire whether Emperor Jing was still alive, the matter would be fully verified.
Even knowing everything, Daojun couldn't replicate this process.
He had even vaguely guessed part of the truth, knowing that the tomb of the Everlasting Mountain and River Formation where Zhang Xuezhou was located might be inextricably linked to Emperor Jing, and that Emperor Jing's demise might even be related to it.
He appeared calm, but his mind was racing.
Daojun finally sighed and stopped asking about the matter, then went up along the earth fire passage.
Stop rolling your eyes! How are you actually feeling right now?
Seeing the blood gushing from Zhang Xuezhou's wrist and his eyes darting back and forth, Zou Bugui help but ask again.
"My head felt like it was filled with water, and my body felt like it was trapped in a quagmire, unable to move. I could only move my mouth and eyes!"
Zhang Xuezhou not only felt his head was heavy, but his body felt incredibly heavy as well.
For a moment he felt he could blow up the sun, but that delusion eventually turned to ashes, and his body became so heavy that he couldn't even lift his hands.
Whether it's casting a spell with a thought or relying on the power of the body's acupoints to form a continuous flow, just thinking about the nine evasion techniques he desperately used in the surge of Spiritual Qi still leaves Zhang Xuezhou with lingering fear.
Eating and drinking water can cause someone to overeat and die, but only one in ten thousand people have experienced that.
It is even rarer for a cultivator to break open a skull and seek out Spiritual Qi so abundant that the body cracks open.
But Zhang Xuezhou just happened to encounter it.
Ultimately, it's just that his cultivation level is too weak, making it difficult for him to withstand the infusion of Spiritual Qi.
Zhang Xuezhou had completely discarded the little delusions that had previously crossed his path into the Consciousness Creation Realm.
He couldn't even withstand the infusion of Spiritual Qi, so how could he possibly have the mind to do anything else?
No matter how much he can jump around, in the eyes of people like Jin Chang, he's just a strong grasshopper, easily intimidated and suppressed with a mere thought.
If this was the case when facing Jin Chang, then it goes without saying that it would be even more true when facing the Venerable One, the Nine Spirits Primordial Saint, and the Dao Lord.
Even though Zhang Xuezhou's limbs were numb and he could hardly move, he truly had no other thoughts in his mind.
In front of top-tier powerhouses like Venerable One, if he harbored any thoughts of resentment, bitterness, or dissatisfaction, Zhang Xuezhou felt that it would be faster for him to meet his end than if he were playing the role of Hou Renying.
The reason why you encounter trouble must be attributed to yourself.
For example, insufficient skill in physiognomy, slow reaction speed, or lack of energy-consuming Technique Method...
Of all the various reasons, none of them can involve the lord of the sacred Sacred Land.
Zhang Xuezhou summarized his many thoughts, adjusted his mind, and then closed his eyes to continuously adjust, seeking to reopen the acupoints that were blocked by Spiritual Qi.
"The Spiritual Qi surge has weakened now. Xiao Zhou has gone to the front to recuperate for an hour. Don't worry, he just overeaten because of too much Spiritual Qi in his body. He'll digest it slowly... Oh, the Dao Lord even bled him out, so it seems he can speak now!"
Only when the Emperor's voice came did Zhang Xuezhou stop his futile efforts.
He opened his eyes and spun around a few times before being grabbed by the Venerable One to check on him, at which point he quickly spoke.
"Your Excellency, I'm paralyzed! I can't move!" Zhang Xuezhou cried out. "I can't use any techniques now, and I can't utilize the Spiritual Qi within my body!"
"Normally, your condition would end in 365 days," the Venerable One said. "But coincidentally, I'm going to give a sermon to Daojun and Nine Spirits Lion, and I'll use you as a demonstration. In no time at all, your body will surely return to normal!"
What demonstration?
"The Yang Soul Takes Form!"
The Venerable One patted his body in great dissatisfaction, clearly unhappy with his gains from the surge of Spiritual Qi.
His Dharma body has not undergone a qualitative change and is extremely different from his physical body.
This requires him to preach the Dharma, and it also requires him to get more feedback from people.
But his preaching must convince people that he has nothing to hide.
A corresponding exemplary example is essential.
"I haven't even left my body yet, how can I serve as a demonstration?" Zhang Xuezhou said.
"Realm Entry, you should be able to give a demonstration," the Venerable One said. "I remember your divine soul even flew beyond the Three Realms while in Western Kunlun; you're more than capable of giving a demonstration!"
"Thank you for imparting the Dharma, Your Excellency!" Zhang Xuezhou said gratefully.
"You don't need to thank me," the Venerable One shook his head and said, "It's just that you have too much Spiritual Qi accumulated in your body, and the transformation of the Yang Soul requires a cultivator to have both magical Law Power and Spiritual Qi in their body. There are some entry requirements, and you just happened to be there!"
Zhang Xuezhou's cooperation left the Venerable One speechless.
He already said it was for demonstration purposes; this is just an experiment.
Experiments with Technique Method can be successful or not.
Zhang Xuezhou had to be thankful that he was using a body to experiment with his Technique Method. If he had been replaced by someone with slightly weaker abilities, not only would the Technique Method have resulted in the body being completely destroyed, but it would have been common for the body to be riddled with serious illnesses.
He looked at Zhang Xuezhou, whose eyes were bright and clear, without any negative emotions, which made the Venerable One ponder for a few seconds.
"They probably trusted me too much!"
Having just faced life and death, and now being used to perform magic, Zhang Xuezhou showed no resentment or indignation in his eyes.
The other party was clearly not a complete fool, unaware of what had happened.
If one were to seek another reason, the only one one could think of was that Zhang Xuezhou probably trusted him too much and treated these things fortuitous opportunity.
This sense of trust made His Excellency feel guilty for a couple of seconds.
But this feeling came and went quickly.
If things go smoothly, this moment truly represents a stroke of fortuitous opportunity.
This applies not only to Zhang Xuezhou, but also to ensuring the smooth progress of the Emperor's affairs.
With the changes in the Hunyuan Wuji Formation guiding the transformation of the Hundred Thousand Great Mountains and eliminating the high risk posed by Li Guang's lurking presence, the Venerable One has clearly removed a major concern from his mind and has begun to seek to promote the technique of Yangpo Transformation.
