The reason I posted this chapter was actually to ask for subscriptions after the limited-time free offer, because the subscriptions after the free offer are only half of those for the first two books. I added 8,000 favorites, but today's subscriptions only increased by 6,000, which is quite low, because the usual subscriptions are 3,000-4,000. The recommendation effect is not strong, and there's no way to promote it further.

For most people, the free recommendation period is around 600,000 to 700,000 words, but I waited until it reached two million words before it became available.

Of course, this book has low subscription numbers and few recommendations; it relies on the support of its long-time readers.

I am very grateful for the care from my old friends, and I hope my new friends will lend a helping hand as well.

Many readers have been asking me if I can add more chapters, or if I can add more chapters for donations. Here's an explanation.

It's not that I don't want to update more, but my health doesn't allow it.

Last December, I was sick for half a month after contracting COVID-19 and couldn't type a single word. I lost 80% of my drafts. Then, during my recovery period from COVID-19, writing was very difficult. At first, I wrote a thousand words a day, then slowly increased to two thousand, then three thousand, and finally managed to write three chapters a day, barely keeping up with the normal updates.

Then, because my immune system was relatively weak, I had a persistent cough after contracting the virus and had to take medication until March 10th (I remember this date because it was International Women's Day).

On March 10th, I thought I had recovered from my illness and would be healthy from then on, but my little girl brought home the flu from kindergarten.

A week later, I started coughing again, and I continued to take cough suppressants such as cough syrup, loquat syrup, and rock sugar pear soup. But the cough still wouldn't stop until May, when the weather warmed up and the illness finally subsided.

For nearly half a year, I've been writing while I'm sick, and I haven't had the energy to spare. I rarely comment in the comments section.

As my health deteriorates, my energy wanes, making it difficult to write more. My physical and mental stamina simply can't keep up. That's why, even with three patrons already appointed, I haven't added any extra updates, only managing a stable three updates a day. I must try my best to maintain this daily three-update commitment.

There's no need to complain, and I'm not an author who plays the victim, so the above text is just an explanation of why I haven't updated more chapters.

Then I genuinely want to subscribe, to make the data look better, so that the operations team can give me some more recommendations.

I bow in gratitude!
