The World Erupts, Cherry Blossom Country Loses Face
Rakhine State, Mandalay Province.
Myanmar's Eleventh and Twelfth Divisions were stationed here, two hundred kilometers from Taunggyi City.
They were less than forty kilometers from Rakhine State's coastline.
After Shan State fell, Myanmar had dispatched the two divisions here to prevent Jack from attacking Rakhine State.
The two divisions had originally intended to wait for reinforcements from Cherry Blossom Country before attacking the Taunggyi Division together.
But they had never expected to come under sudden attack from the rear.
The artillery strike had come so suddenly that both divisions were caught completely off guard.
However, as Myanmar's elite divisions, they reacted very quickly and immediately began returning fire toward Rakhine State's coastline.
Both divisions also had self-propelled artillery, but their range and firepower were far inferior to Jack's.
Jack's self-propelled artillery consisted of Eagle Sauce Country's most famous M109 series vehicles. They not only fired rapidly but also had a range of up to forty kilometers.
Myanmar's self-propelled artillery vehicles had a maximum range of only thirty kilometers, leaving a huge gap between the two sides' firing ranges.
With no other choice, Myanmar's two divisions could only move forward to close the distance.
Although it was only ten kilometers, crossing it was no simple matter, because they were under artillery fire every moment.
Inside the Eleventh Division's temporary command post, its commander was urgently directing his troops:
"Quick, send the fighter jets out first to pin down their fire!"
"Have the self-propelled artillery vehicles move out first and get within range quickly!"
"Contact the Ministry of Defense and ask what the hell is going on! Why are we suddenly being attacked from the coastline?"
The Eleventh Division was an armored division equipped with all kinds of heavy equipment. After coming under artillery fire, it had taken responsibility for the counterattack.
