High above the manor, Qiefusi flew through the air with a greatsword on his back.

A pair of enormous wings had also grown from his back. They allowed him to fly without limit, and at tremendous speed.

This was an ability he had gained through his second evolution.

Qiefusi had already seen what was happening inside the manor, but he had paid it no mind.

Even as the members of the Superpowered Special Operations Team kept dying, he felt not the slightest ripple of emotion.

In his eyes, no one in the Superpowered Special Operations Team mattered except him.

His objective this time was to test X and then uncover the secret deep within the manor. The others were merely there to draw attention.

Qiefusi soon passed over the metal wall and entered the deepest part of the manor. Before him stood a series of buildings that had been converted into research institutes, but there was no one inside them now.

The researchers had long since withdrawn underground.

A woman wearing glasses and a white lab coat stood in an open area, looking up at his position.

"She can actually see me?" Qiefusi was somewhat surprised.

He was hundreds of meters up in the air, and it was nighttime. An ordinary person could never have seen him without equipment.

Yet the woman in the open area had clearly spotted him.

Qiefusi immediately descended at tremendous speed, reaching the open area in the blink of an eye.

The instant he landed, the ground cracked beneath him, unable to withstand the impact of his descent.
