Candy
Jin Rongjia's eyes sharpened. "These Jackal, we'll search the earth to the ends of the earth, chase them to the ends of the earth, and bring them to justice!"
"Understood," Su Ming said.
"You and Miao Xin, don't get involved in this. Especially you, focus on the other world," Jin Rongjia said solemnly. "This is our mission, and we'll do it without hesitation, no matter the sacrifices! But you and Miao Xin absolutely cannot have any problems!"
Su Ming rubbed his temples. "Okay."

After disconnecting the communication, Su Ming sat quietly in the chair, his thoughts churning.
He also needs time to process the information he just received.
Facing enemies whose methods far exceed the boundaries of human understanding, Jin Rongjia and his team will certainly not have an easy time. For example, in their investigation, how will they distinguish between genuine accidents and murders caused by the "Calamity Mark" from the countless "accidents" that have occurred in the past?
There are always people carrying the burden.
But Su Ming's side is equally challenging. Unbeknownst to him, he has already shouldered many responsibilities and expectations.
He told Zijin the information he had just obtained on Earth.
"Five years?" Zijin was equally surprised by this number, her brows furrowing slightly. "So this ' Jackal ' warrior's true strength is likely more than just a High Rank warrior."
"Oh?" Su Ming raised an eyebrow, signaling her to continue.
"It's impossible to maintain an energy level for an extended period in a demon-poor area," Zijin explained. "Therefore, I deduce that he is actually a much more powerful warrior, but his energy level dropped to that point due to lack of power."
Su Ming nodded and noted down this conjecture.
"How's the interrogation of the prisoners going?" Zijin asked, turning the question to, "I'm really curious about the purpose of the Plundering Clock."
Su Ming had already learned about this while in the Him Cavern; the prisoners this time were mainly bear-men, and unsurprisingly, they knew nothing when questioned.
Two human members were also captured, but the interrogation revealed that they, too, were brainwashed by the doomsday cult and knew nothing of the true purpose of the Plundering Clock.
"Qiluo," Su Ming suddenly called out.
The unicorn poked its head out of the window. "What?"
"What about the souls of Ruogejin and Abigai?"
"Don't worry, they're all well preserved!" Qiluo replied.
Not only their souls, but also their bodies, have been properly preserved.
In the world of necromancers, killing enemies is just the beginning!
Fearing the possibility of trouble, Su Ming and Zijin did not approach rashly. There were too many people around, and the two of them were not in good condition, making it inconvenient to deal with the situation.
"We also need to begin researching the Plundering Clock," Su Ming said worriedly. "We still don't understand the organization's purpose, and they're so troublesome."
"There's no need to be so tense," Zijin comforted them. "We've definitely dealt them a heavy blow! No organization can withstand the loss of a Saint Rank and a super magical artifact without suffering serious damage."
"Um."

Before lunchtime, Su Ming received a message from Miao Xin informing him that all the parts orders he had placed had been completed.
He switched to the other side, and this time Ling Wen was beside him. In the warehouse, the repair parts he needed were neatly categorized and stacked, the metal components gleaming coldly under the lights.
Su Ming glanced outside the warehouse. Good, it was still pitch black outside.
"There's no need to push so hard," Su Ming said. "My requirement is that everything be ready in 26 hours. We haven't even started preparing the materials for the teleportation yet."
"I'm sorry," Ling Wen said, "We understand it to be within 26 hours."
Su Ming looked around and saw a large number of researchers standing by, clearly ready to capture the teleportation phenomenon again.
Su Ming cooperated with them in conducting some small-scale teleportation observations, but the data was far from ideal, much less than what could be obtained from larger-scale teleportations.
"I also have to apologize," Su Ming said, rubbing his forehead again. "Today is a rest day; we'll teleport again tomorrow."
Ling Wen paused for a moment, then said, "It's alright, it was a misunderstanding on our part."
Su Ming nodded and severed the connection.
His condition has not recovered. He was fine right after the battle ended yesterday, but he started having headaches after returning to the train, and this morning he felt extremely unwell and almost couldn't get out of bed.
However, there are many things that need to be sorted out, and a large number of personnel and supplies from the other world are on their way. He has already formulated plans for various tasks and does not want to have his schedule interrupted for no reason.
Everyone has their limits, and Su Ming knew he wasn't far from them.
Su Ming leaned back in his chair in the office, letting his mind wander.
Too many things cannot be rushed. For example, the rollover during a road test on the Jishou Tidal Flats after landing in the Northern Lands was a lesson learned.
Therefore, no matter what, Su Ming cannot have too much of a burden today; he has made that decision.
He pulled the White Rabbit candy out of his pocket. The blue and white wrapper had a cute little rabbit printed on it.
Su Ming unwrapped the twisted ends of the candy wrapper, revealing a slightly ivory-colored milky-white candy block inside. The familiar sweet aroma filled the air, reminding him of his childhood when his parents would occasionally bring home a bag of candy, which was a cause for celebration.
Suddenly, Su Ming's hand went empty; the candy had vanished. It was Zijin's Mage Hand that had stolen the candy.
She brought the candy to her nose and sniffed it. "It smells milky? Can I eat it?"
"... Okay." Su Ming hesitated slightly before replying.
"So reluctant to eat a piece of candy," Zijin said with slight dissatisfaction. She popped the candy into her mouth, chewed it, and commented, "Hmm, not bad!"
She looked up at Su Ming. "What's wrong? You seem a bit down?"
Su Ming shook his head. "Actually, just like you, my head hurts too."
Zijin chuckled, "Yesterday you were directly battling a veteran Saint Rank with Thorn Long Whip, locked in Magic Power —and today you only have a headache? You should be secretly happy!"
"Didn't I have Qiluo's help back then?" Su Ming asked, puzzled.
"Qiluo is helping, but her Magic Power is also being channeled through you!" Zijin laughed even harder, her silvery voice echoing in the carriage. "You're essentially bearing the magical pressure of both of them at the same time!"
Both sides are Magic Power, with Su Ming in the middle...
"So I'm just the filling between two compressed biscuits!" He finally understood why he felt so unwell.
"You still lack common sense." Zijin stopped laughing and came behind Su Ming. "It's good, a small lesson for a deeper understanding. Otherwise, if you had been facing Abigai at his peak back then, you would have been in big trouble."
Su Ming was also somewhat helpless. He often learned his lesson after suffering losses, realizing that he couldn't do things the way he did.
This has nothing to do with whether or not one comes to another world.
Slightly cool fingers touched his temples. Su Ming was taken aback, only to find that the girl was actually massaging his head.
"Hey..." Su Ming turned her head, but Zijin forcefully turned it back to her original position.
"I'll eat your candy and give you a massage—isn't that a good deal?"
It's just a piece of candy.
Zijin loosened her grip. "Since that's the case—"
"No, please continue!" Su Ming quickly changed his mind.
