Two nights ago, at the abandoned "Dragon Tail" mine.

Janet led a convoy covered with heavy tarpaulins and quietly drove into the abandoned mine.

About ten percent of the population in the Dwarf Kingdom are also humans, so human activity there doesn't attract much attention. But Janet and her group's identities as believers of light cannot be revealed.

Or rather, everything related to the Temple of Light has become extremely sensitive recently. They are carefully concealing their identities and hiding the true origin of this shipment. They have expended a great deal of effort to transport it here.

The accompanying dwarven drivers began unloading the cargo. These laborers, drawn by the generous payment, were puzzled as to why the owner wanted to transport the goods to an abandoned mine, and even less understanding why they were required to unload overnight—but the allure of the heavy purses of money overshadowed all their doubts.

After all, the employer gave them way too much!

During the work, the dwarves tried to remain quiet, which was also a requirement of their wealthy employers.

McIntyre walked over to Janet on the gravel and asked in a low voice, "Are we going to get rid of these dwarves?"

Janet nodded, her gaze drifting to the blurry mountain silhouettes nearby. "That's the ' Hidden Dragon Mountain ' crystal mine. Let's not leave any noticeable traces here."

"Then let's take them into the mine first," McIntyre said knowingly.

The goods were quickly emptied and piled up at the mine entrance. McIntyre took a bulging leather bag from his waist, weighed it in his palm, and the clinking sound was particularly clear in the silence.

"Come in and collect your final payment!" he announced.

As soon as he finished speaking, a pale golden halo spread out from beneath his feet.

Command Spell!

Originally, only the leader stepped forward, but the other dwarves seemed to be drawn by invisible threads, their eyes becoming blank, and one after another followed McIntyre into the mine.

Janet waved her hand lightly, and the clergy behind her drew their weapons.

These coachmen were just ordinary dwarfs; they didn't even have time to scream before they fell in rows into pools of blood.

Janet walked into the mine, stepping over the sticky blood and warm corpses, her expression nonchalant.

She removed a necklace from her neck, from which hung a Clock Hand- shaped gem. Magic Power flowed from her fingertips, causing the necklace to crack softly. As it disintegrated, it released a strange magical fluctuation.

"Is this the method of communication you agreed upon with those 'powerful ones'?" McIntyre asked, watching the dissipating fluctuations.

"Yes," Janet replied. A similar ripple returned from nearby, "They'll be there soon."

"It's nearly a thousand kilometers from here to Dragon Valley." McIntyre finally couldn't suppress his doubts. "Can these people you arranged really break into the Final Bone Mad Machines base that the dragons are entrenched in?"

He still found it hard to believe the feasibility of this "Deboning" backup plan, but Cardinal Bulameike's order to him was: to cooperate with Janet unconditionally throughout this mission.

Several figures landed at the cave entrance.

McIntyre was about to step forward to greet them when a flash of cold light appeared! The person who had just appeared suddenly attacked, the sharp magical blade tearing through the air. The dozen or so clergy at the cave entrance had no time to react and all fell to the ground!

McIntyre was terrified and instinctively reached for his scepter at his waist. However, a sharp pain exploded in his back!

He froze, turning his head with incredible difficulty: Janet held a golden dagger, deeply embedded in his back. A thin Battle Qi Shield appeared in front of her, gracefully blocking the splattering warm blood.

"How dare you question the power of the Plundering Clock!" Janet's voice was devoid of warmth.

McIntyre instantly understood who these "collaborators" she had contacted really were.

"It's a cult... the Plundering Clock!" He clutched his fatal wound, staggering back two steps. "Why...?" Blood gushed from between his fingers and from his mouth. "Betrayal... of the light?"

"Betrayal of the Light?" Janet let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "The supreme god Jörmungandr about to reign over this world, and the robe is the only, supreme Light!"

McIntyre, leaning against the jagged rock face, slid helplessly to the ground... But you... are the Pope's daughter... They...

"Shut up! Don't mention that bastard!" Janet's eyes flashed with malice, her voice filled with resentment. "I should have been the noble princess of the Star Empire, free and carefree! But those two selfish and greedy dogs have turned me into this shameful state!" She stepped forward, gripping her dagger. "What do you mean by grooming me to be the future successor of the Divine Cult? What a joke! They're just using my fear of revealing my true identity as leverage to make me a pawn in their infiltration of the Star Empire!"

Janet pulled the dagger out with a little effort, warm drops of blood rolling down the blade. She used McIntyre's archbishop's robe, embroidered with gold thread, to wipe the blood off the dagger.

"You can go now." She looked at McIntyre, whose pupils were dilating, "Wait for my 'father' to personally go to hell to reward your 'loyalty'!"

Of the people brought, only the two trusted men standing behind Janet were still alive; they had been turned into the "second hand" of the Second Hand of Plundering Clock. More shadowy figures fell, their hands flashing with eerie light. The corpses that had fallen to the ground twitched and rose again, transforming into vacant undead servants who began mechanically carrying goods into the darker depths of the mine.

A figure shrouded in a black cloak approached. Janet and the other two immediately bowed, "Lord Death Knell, good night!"

Beneath the cloak appeared an excessively pale female face, her skin a deathly ashen. But this woman, known as "Death Knell," spoke calmly, nodding slightly. "Thank you for your hard work, Janet."

"We failed to assassinate Su Ming." Janet maintained her bowed posture, her voice trembling with resentment. "It was due to my incompetence." "We underestimated our opponent." As Death Knell spoke, she coughed. "This Bone King and Bay Owl... are indeed strange." Another tall, thin man strolled over, twirling a pinch of freshly counted alchemical powder between his fingers.

"The quantity is complete, and the quality is excellent." He praised, "Excellent!"

This large quantity of rare alchemical materials was actually allocated under the guise of supporting the goblins. Janet's request to the Temple of Light was significantly larger than the share demanded by King Nilunke.

But almost all of the most precious materials are contained here.

Janet and the other two bowed deeply once more, "Lord Nitelai!"

The two men before him were none other than the organization's high-ranking leaders known as "Clock Hand"—the second in the sequence, the Death Knell, and the seventh, Nitelai. Nitelai took out three badges, each shaped like a clock hand, their surfaces etched with intricate and eerie dark patterns. He handed the badges to Janet, "In recognition of your loyalty and hard work to the organization, you are hereby granted the position of ' Provisional Quarter Hand '."

The Plundering Clock has a strict hierarchy. Below the Chief God, it is divided into four major levels: Clock Hand, Quarter Hand, Minute Hand, and Second Hand. Except for the Clock Hand, the others are further divided into two levels: "Formal" and "preparatory (quasi)".

Janet's two attendants received "Provisional Minute Hand" badges adorned with simple engravings. The three accepted them respectfully, expressing their gratitude repeatedly. The group descended amidst the dull thuds of undead servants carrying goods, eventually reaching the bottom of the mine. This was the end of the man-made excavation; there was no further path through the vertical rock walls.

Nitelai walked to the end of the alley and placed his palm against the stone wall. A subtle Magic Power fluctuation rippled outwards like a stone thrown into a pool. After a moment of deathly silence, the rock wall in front of him suddenly emitted a dull thud. Gravel tumbled down, and a crystal-red shadow burst out of the wall, only to quickly retreat again!

In a fleeting glimpse, Janet only caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a somewhat flat, crimson creature, about a meter wide and at least four or five meters long! The group filed in under the illumination of the magical orbs. As they went deeper, Janet finally saw that the crimson object was far larger than she had imagined. Its body rapidly expanded in the light, beginning to be covered with a thick, strange shell that combined the texture of scales and crystals.

Further on, its massive form disappeared behind a dark red rock wall. The magical orb's range was limited, and Janet couldn't see much more. Nitelai, who was leading the way, stopped. He raised his arm, and a blinding light, like a miniature sun, burst forth from his palm, instantly dispelling a large area of darkness!

However, the light could not reach the edge of this underground space. Only the dark red "giant wall" beside them reacted under the strong light. The crisscrossing crystal veins on its surface gradually lit up and began to flow with a lava-like luster.

Janet looked up and saw that the "wall" stretched upwards until it disappeared into the dome.

"Step back a bit," said the Death Knell.

Upon hearing this, Janet and the other two immediately stepped back. Suddenly, the enormous wall in front of them began to move! The crystal patterns on it shone even brighter until they illuminated the entire field of vision.

Janet's eyes widened as she continued to back away, until she was quite far away before her vision could barely take in the outline of what was in front of her—it wasn't a wall at all, but a gigantic dragon covered in crystal scales!

She looked back at where she had come in and realized that what she thought was a "giant creature" breaking through the rock wall was just the tail of this super dragon—no, to be precise, the tip of its tail!

When her gaze shifted to the other side, her heart nearly stopped—the colossal dragon's mountain-like head was now buried within a dazzling crystal vein, as if absorbing its essence in slumber.

This enormous, despair-inducing space inside the mountain was clearly the cavity he left behind while digging for food!

As it was awakened, the super dragon's previously extremely slow breathing became more pronounced. As it began to inhale, Janet felt a violent gust of air sweep past, rushing towards the mine where the dragon's head was located.

This is a living, ultimate behemoth that transcends the imagination and cognition of the Taya Plane!

Janet swallowed hard. She finally understood where the two Clock Hand Masters' confidence in defeating Bone King and his party came from: with such a miraculous being as their backing, she would have looked down on everyone else just as badly!

She practically prostrated herself on the ground, her hands clasped together, her forehead striking the cold rock, her voice trembling sharply with extreme fervor. "Great Jörmungandr! This must be a miracle bestowed by you!"

"His name is Jinghuo." The Death Knell also stepped back to her side, clasping her hands together, waiting for the colossal dragon to awaken from its slumber. "He is a powerful war dragon personally dispatched by the Supreme God from the divine realm of Eden a thousand years ago!"

The Jinghuo or its enormous body was constantly waking up, each long breath like a storm surging from the ground. Even a slight tremor from it could make the ground beneath Janet's feet shake.

Nitelai's eyes were slightly closed, and his powerful mental energy swept around like tentacles. Countless Magic Power crystals scattered on the ground fluttered up and gathered around him.

With a slight flick of his fingertips, the crystals rapidly separated and gathered according to their purity and properties. The majority of them were flawless, of extremely high purity. "In this thousand years, the Jinghuo have certainly accumulated quite a few good ones," Nitelai's voice held a hint of admiration, yet also a touch of regret. "Unfortunately, most of them ended up in its belly."

"A thousand years of slumber, are you expecting us to starve to death?" A spherical phantom made of pure energy, with constantly shifting facets, was projected in front of them, and Jinghuo's consciousness was already clear.

The Crystal Dragon cannot speak; whenever it opens its mouth, it unleashes a devastating breath.

"Has the final offensive been launched ahead of schedule?" Jinghuo's illusory figure flickered, conveying a sense of confusion. "The agreed time hasn't arrived. Could it be that the spatial channel has malfunctioned, or the invasion plan has been brought forward?"

Nitelai slowly shook his head. "Our 'rescue' operation has encountered serious obstacles." He explained, "An Earth transmigrator named Su Ming has severely disrupted our plans. Now he has created the Final Bone Mad Machines Organization, which is growing stronger and contacting more and more forces!" Jinghuo's voice suddenly rose in a high-pitched tone, as if a new leader had taken over, "A bunch of trash! Five Clock Hand- level beings can't even handle an ant from a magic-free plane?!"

Another rough, furious voice, like the grinding of gravel, boomed out, "The Lord God commanded us to lie in wait here, awaiting the final assault! What is the punishment for your unauthorized actions!"

"Su Ming's threat has reached a point where we must eliminate him at all costs!" Death Knell said. "Yexiya and Abigai are already dead at their hands."

Jinghuo's soul sphere trembled, transmitting an unbelievable aura, "You were actually beaten into such a miserable state by mere low-magic-plane crawlers?!"

"I know Yexiya! Her soul essence was forcibly shattered, and she barely managed to climb back to the Legendary rank. Her foundation was completely destroyed—it's not surprising that she was killed afterward."

"What about Abigail?! She just dropped a rank normally, and her abilities are so special, how could she have failed too?"

Distinct voices intertwined within the sphere of light. Jinghuo's essence is an aggregation of several powerful souls, and when they communicate, it easily evolves into this state.
