Joint Operation
"So, in the end, my petty little schemes really weren't worth mentioning in front of you?" There was a hint of dejection in Xialike's voice.
With the Star Empire's overwhelming advantage in size and economic power, Xialike had always excelled at sowing discord. He frequently stirred up conflicts between factions and even within them, making his opponents wear themselves down with infighting, thereby continually securing benefits and expanding territory for the Star Empire.
But the speed at which Final Bone Mad Machines had developed its sheer strength was so far beyond his comprehension that his strategies looked as ridiculous as a clown's antics. It seemed that in the blink of an eye, the pair of wanted fugitives who had once fled in sorry shape had brought a vast force of mages and heavily armed warships right to the Star Empire's doorstep.
"Wait a moment, President Su." Xialike suddenly realized something. "Did you just say you interrogated the Naga Queen?"
"No, no, it was a friendly conversation between the two sides," Su Ming corrected him solemnly. "A few days ago, the Naga Queen accidentally fell into the water and nearly drowned. Fortunately, I was passing by and saved her. She's been staying with me as a guest lately."
"..." Xialike was speechless. Given Su Ming's way of doing things, the Nagas were probably working themselves to the bone extracting oil for Final Bone Mad Machines every day in exchange for a "good" life!
"In any case, your side struck Dragon Valley and Final Bone Mad Machines first, and we launched a military counterattack in self-defense. There's no dispute about that, is there?" Su Ming said calmly.
After ending the magic communication, Su Ming felt dizzy and exhausted all over.
"President, you haven't slept a wink in more than thirty hours."
