Absolute Thrust
Sure enough, the person who came had to bend over and forcefully rise higher.
The moment he ascended, Ruixiuli, who had just returned, suddenly appeared and slashed down with his white bone sword!
At the same time, the skilled guards around Xialike also rushed forward, with sword light and magic converging from all directions.
But that shadow was very eerie.
"Fleeting Glimpses of Light!"
As if teleporting, he suddenly appeared behind the crowd.
Two long thorns emerged from his wrist and pierced towards Su Ming.
A light appeared on Su Ming's wrist, and the blue and white domain radiance rippled outwards in all directions.
"Dawn and Dusk Sequence Three: Eternal Frost Deposition!"
This time, the attackers were finally unable to dodge.
His body was visibly covered with a layer of ice!
Strangely, the Frost Domain did not reduce his attack speed at all.
Bang!
The ice shield that Su Ming had hastily conjured in front of him was pierced.
"Holy Protection!"
It was the Jielusi - all-around, no-blind-spot defensive light sphere that lit up, enveloping Su Ming within it.
The attackers' offensive faltered, and seeing that Su Ming was still wearing a Crystal Dragon armor, they had no choice but to give up and retreat.
In a few leaps and bounds, as if a few frames were missing from the scene, he found himself outside the battle.
A tall, slender figure wearing a mask was revealed.
****
Su Ming calmed his breathing.
The enemy's abilities were too unpredictable, so no one dared to make a move.
At that moment, news came back from Zijin's side.
"----The interrogation revealed that the leader of this team was Hairspring!"
Su Ming raised his head and looked at the masked man.
Hairspring?
He spoke, his voice icy.
"It's been a few days, Charles."
The other person paused slightly.
A moment later, he raised his hand and removed the mask, revealing his handsome yet effeminate face.
It was none other than Charles, the vice president of the Four Directions Chamber of Commerce.
"How did you recognize me?"
He sounded surprised.
"Didn't I destroy that little tracking device you installed?"
When they met in Radiant Holy City a little over ten days ago, Su Ming had stuck a tracking device on him.
The signal was lost shortly afterward.
But Su Ming only twitched the corner of his mouth.
"Without."
"I was just bluffing you."
"Charles = Hairspring, that's just one of the possibilities I suspect."
At this point, Su Ming's eyes suddenly sharpened.
"However, there's something I've figured out now."
"When you revealed Yeshia's whereabouts near Water Chestnut Island to us, you weren't helping us."
"But we're helping her!"
"Because Yesia was still recovering from serious injuries at that time, you were preventing us from going!"
Hairspring's face darkened, and she couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of saliva.
"You guys really wasted all my hard work back then!"
"I've already given you such a clear hint."
Upon hearing this, Su Ming also became angry.
"You take two sesame cakes, eat half and throw the other half away, who can understand what that means?"
"You guys are the ones who are crazy!"
The Hairspring was in a hurry.
When I said "Yesia," I deliberately crushed half of the cake and winked at her, clearly indicating that she was actually on Water Chestnut Island!
When I mentioned the remaining high-end combat forces, I took out a whole cake and placed it on top of her.
"This is a reminder to you— Water Chestnut Island still has a Saint Rank with full combat strength!"
Su Ming's face darkened.
"Who the hell can glean so much from a biscuit?"
"You have a mouth, but you can't speak like a human being!"
The Hairspring gritted its teeth and pointed at Xialike.
"Then you'll have to ask the person next to you!"
Su Ming turned to look at Xialike.
The Stars Emperor crossed his arms and spoke calmly.
"The Star Feather Chamber of Commerce I control is the chairman of the Central Ocean Trade Federation."
"At the time, I suspected that the Four Directions Chamber of Commerce was involved in the sea monster incident, so I arranged for people to obstruct Charles at every turn."
"When I met with you, I even had people keeping a close watch on you."
He then dropped another bombshell.
"By the way, I knew Yeshia was on Water Chestnut Island back then."
"The reason I sent you was to use one tiger to devour another."
"Anyway, if you guys go and fight Yesia, I won't lose anything if either of you dies."
As he spoke, a smug look appeared on Xialike's lips.
"Therefore, we must naturally guard against Charles leaking this information to you through any means!"
"----Well, thank you so much." Su Ming's lips twitched.
He suddenly felt that he wanted to stab Xialike with a knife more than the Hairspring in front of him. What should he do?
"This is just pure luck for you and Bay Owl!"
The more Hairspring talked, the angrier she became.
"It's all the Star Rain for blocking the road!"
"Abigai was two hours late!"
"My boat has been blocked too!"
The Star Rain was one of the Empire's most powerful battleship sister ships. At the time, it was fully armed and led the fleet to blockade the outer perimeter of Water Chestnut Island, sealing off the waters of Water Chestnut North Port.
"Actually, I instructed Qian to intercept him," Xialike Like said with a hint of regret, "I regret it."
He tricked Su Ming and his group into going to fight Yeshia, and unwittingly covered the rear for the White Triangle.
Otherwise, if one were to encounter Saint Rank beings simultaneously, there would be absolutely no chance of survival.
Upon hearing this, Su Ming felt even more urge to stab him.
"Later, when Abigai and I met up, we couldn't find you anywhere at sea!" Hairspring glared at Su Ming, "And then, one wrong step led to another!"
At that time, it was because of Su Ming's sudden idea that the group turned to go to the Northern Lands to recruit necromancers as slaves.
Su Ming stared at the Hairspring, then suddenly asked another question.
There's something I don't understand.
"Since you wanted to kill me so badly—why didn't you do it during our meetings?"
There was a wry smile in Charles's tone.
"You'll have to ask the other person next to you."
Another one?
Su Ming's heart skipped a beat, and he understood.
This time it refers to Zijin.
****
Charles suddenly started it.
The "Fading Light" realm is in full swing!
His speed was so fast that he was almost just a blur, and all the intercepting attacks that everyone had been preparing missed at the same time!
Surprisingly, his target was not Su Ming.
It's Jielusi!
Bang!
One hit, and it's a kill!
Jielusi's shield shattered, and with a muffled groan, she coughed up blood and staggered backward, crashing heavily near Su Ming.
"Jielusi!" Ruixiuli roared, unleashing a flurry of slashes with his White Bone sword, finally forcing Charles back.
Charles gave a very strange smile, then snapped his fingers lightly.
Smack
Jielusi's body suddenly stiffened, and then began to convulse violently.
Su Ming looked down and his pupils immediately contracted.
A small crystal had somehow been embedded in Jielusi's chest.
Su Ming raised his hand, intending to shatter the crystal.
But it was too late.
In an instant, Jielusi's eyes were completely blackened.
Her long hair seemed to be ignited from within by some kind of flame, quickly turning a dazzling red.
She rose with an uncanny movement, and a dark blade appeared on her healing scepter.
With a swift motion, he cleaved Su Ming's neck with his blade!
The speed and pressure displayed were entirely at the Saint Rank!
Su Ming had nowhere to avoid it.
Bang!
A hardwood war witch's staff extended from the side, deflecting the blade.
Despite his injuries, the Wave Hermit Shadu forcefully intervened to stop him.
But blood still splattered everywhere.
"Su Ming!"
Xialike drew his sword fiercely, knocking back the still-weak Jielusi with a single strike.
The guards rushed forward at the same time, surrounding them tightly.
Yise arrived.
The moment she landed, she witnessed a scene that nearly made her heart stop.
Jielusi her black eyes and red hair, wields a dark blade and is surrounded by guards in the center; Su Ming, on the other hand, is covering his wound with one hand, blood constantly flowing down between his fingers.
"Jielusi! Su Ming!"
Yise's expression changed drastically.
Su Ming covered his wound with one hand, raised the other hand slightly, and spoke in a very steady voice.
"I'm fine, I just missed."
"Collarbone, not neck."
His Crystal Dragon armor was torn open on his upper chest, and blood was flowing out, but it did not reach any vital organs.
Everyone present breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's you again, you old lizard!" Jielusi said, her tone completely unfamiliar and shrill, filled with deep resentment.
"It really is you, Leonite!" Shadu rasped.
"You're fucking trash!"
Not far away, Charles was furious.
"You missed such a great opportunity!"
"Even a lizard that's barely clinging to life can stop you!"
Leonite's face contorted for a moment, her voice shrill and almost cracking.
"This little girl—I didn't completely control her—"
She's trying to seize control—
Charles's face darkened further.
"Aren't you Legendary -level Qi Nian Clan member? How could you not control yourself when there's a host a whole rank above you?"
Leonite roared back, "I've only been able to get a bite to eat every few months here with Jielusi!"
"I've been starving for fifteen years!"
"You've barely been able to move and you're already being treated like this!"
Leonite's movements suddenly became much smoother.
"Damn it, that brat, she's finally behaving herself!"
She moved her neck and limbs; they felt incredibly smooth.
Leonite raised her hand, wanting to press the crystal on her chest even deeper.
But halfway through the movement, he suddenly froze.
"Wrong----"
How could this be?
Leonite's entire arm began to tremble, her fingers quivering inch by inch in front of her chest.
The blackness in my eyes began to shatter.
Like a shattered lens, the cracks spread from the depths of the pupil.
How come you still have -
For the first time, a hint of panic appeared in her voice.
Jielusi gritted her teeth.
That hand, however, slowly moved towards her chest.
My fingertips touched the crystal.
Leonite was overjoyed, but the next moment, her fingers suddenly clenched tightly!
Click!
The crystal was crushed!
Debris spilled from between his fingers, and the dark red sheen dissipated.
The blackness in Jielusi's eyes vanished rapidly like the receding tide, and the crimson in her hair began to fade as well.
The next moment, she fell straight down.
"Jielusi!"
Yise cried out.
But instead of helping him up, she drew her sword and lunged at Charles!
The murderous intent surged so fiercely it almost split the air itself.
Charles's face darkened, and he immediately turned and retreated.
His parasitism failed, and his attempt to kill him was fruitless; there was no need for him to stay any longer.
"Tsk!"
He cursed under his breath, unleashing the "Light's Demise" domain at full speed. He transformed into a blur and flew into the depths of the desert.
Ruixiuli, Yise, and the skilled guards surrounding Xialike gave chase for a while, but eventually had to stop.
They reported back with grim expressions, "This man is too fast; we can't stop him."
Medical personnel quickly surrounded them.
Jielusi was treated and her vital signs gradually stabilized, but she remained in a deep coma.
Su Ming's collarbone was also bandaged to stop the bleeding.
He stood there, silently watching Jielusi for a moment.
Not far away, the four "Dread Skeleton" were finally completely destroyed under overwhelming disadvantage.
Su Ming picked up the communicator.
"All personnel, listen to my command."
"Quickly clean up the battlefield."
"Clean up all those rebellious lizards bred by the Plundering Clock."
"Yes!"
The command was relayed through the ranks.
The blazing sun shone high above the broken altar and the scattered bones on the ground, as well as on the heads of the lizardmen kneeling on the ground, still in shock.
What a mess!
Su Ming sighed inwardly.
(The following words are free)
1. Regarding the fact that the Hairspring and the Death Knell are somewhat resilient, allow me to make a point: there was no intention to drag out the story.
1. There will be no Clock Hand taking turns appearing and getting entangled in the plot. 2. The main storyline has entered its final stage and no new forces or even new important characters will appear.
I usually display all the characters and scenes that will appear in the story in advance. It's just that they are placed in the background before their turn.
For example, someone like Si Zai.
Next, the main setting, the Arctic Satellite, and the Orcs of Water Chestnut Island, will enter the final battle, where there will be a major development, roughly the overall structure of the whole book.
The story follows a detailed outline, and any plot holes left along the way will be filled in during the process.
3. Originally, a long side story was planned for the next volume, but it seems that most readers have strong opinions about cutting out a (long) side story, so some plot design was canceled. However, there will be two short side stories of several thousand words each (free) in the final battle to supplement the information.
The rest, if they can be included in the main text, then include them in the main text.
