Jose was puzzled. Although Moduo Peak Forest bordered the Gloomy Forest, the Gloomy Forest was a vast primeval forest comparable in size to a medium-sized human kingdom. The Elf Clan was sparse in number, and their settlements were limited to the heart of the forest.
Furthermore, the forest was filled with Extraordinary Beasts, so elves rarely traveled far from their homes.

Jose recalled a possibility and examined the attire of the male and female elves.
The female elf held a wooden staff as tall as her ears, wrapped in vines blooming with pale blue flowers. She wore an emerald-green long skirt below the waist, while two green leaves covered her chest. Such a nature-loving outfit marked her as a Druid without question.
The male elf wore standard brown-and-green leather armor. He carried a longbow, a quiver on his back, and two curved blades hanging from his belt. His light, agile movements as he leaped over obstacles made him look like an Elf Ranger.
A Druid and Ranger pair—there was a strong chance they were Tilly's teacher and brother.
Thoughts raced through Jose's mind.
Now that the two elves had spotted him, there was a chance they could leak information and threaten his safety. Ideally, he would deal with them together with Master Yougeng.
But that was impossible!
He could not even take down a Master-level opponent alone, let alone with an Advanced Stage Druid and an Advanced Stage Centaur added to the mix.
