Zola's Trap

After realizing Red Skull intended to break ties, Alex knew his time was limited. According to the movie's plot, Red Skull would next bomb major cities worldwide, and it was during this operation that Steve would fall into the deep sea and be frozen for seventy years. However, Alex couldn't determine the exact timing.

With this sense of urgency, Alex led the Howling Commandos on a rampage through German-occupied territory, destroying arms factories and barracks without exception, even stumbling upon secret Hydra bases.

The rampant destruction seemed to enrage the previously restrained Hydra. Thousands of Hydra's black forces moved to surround them, even deploying one of their few "Land Cruisers."

The Land Cruiser, a colossal tank, stood four stories tall. Its massive, dark cannon barrel resembled a black hole that could swallow everything, making it incredibly dangerous.

At this moment, the Howling Commandos were relaxing in a small building, watching the approaching Hydra army and the awe-inspiring giant tank.

"That tank looks pretty scary," Nick Fury said, comparing it to the heavy machine gun in his hands before glancing at the giant tank again, remarking with a hint of envy, "Driving that thing must be a real thrill!"

"Then I'll snatch it and give it to you as a birthday present!" Alex said casually, showing no regard for the "Land Cruiser."

Nick Fury grinned, revealing two rows of pearly white teeth, "That would be fantastic! We can drive it all the way to Berlin and blow that little mustache to smithereens with one shot."

"I don't want to be a target!" Natasha said, adjusting her wristband and turning away with a look of disdain, "That thing looks impressive but is useless. It's just a target on the battlefield. One bomb and it'll be scrap."

Among them, only Steve stood seriously to the side, constantly observing the approaching Hydra army. As the Hydra forces drew nearer, Steve felt compelled to remind them, "It's time to get ready!"

"Let me finish this cigar!" Logan reclined on a sofa in the small building, leisurely puffing away.

Steve gave the others a helpless look, finally settling his gaze on Alex.

"Relax, Steve," Alex said, turning to look at the army that was almost at the building, a triumphant, mischievous grin on his face. "Nick's main course hasn't been served yet, so we don't need to rush."

As soon as Alex finished speaking, a deafening explosion rocked the entire building.

"It's done!" Alex snapped his fingers, looking at Nick, who had a wicked grin, with admiration. "Nick, well done!"

"I hope my tank isn't damaged!" Nick looked out of the building with his good eye. The billowing smoke obscured his vision, and he could only hear the continuous cries of agony from below. "If I had known it was here, I would have used fewer bombs."

The pre-planted bombs eliminated nearly half of the Hydra army. Most of the remaining soldiers were wounded, and many were knocked unconscious by the explosions, saving Alex and the others considerable effort.

Half an hour later, the entire Hydra army was wiped out, leaving only the impressive but seemingly useless "Land Cruiser."

"Let's go, let's go inside and take a look!" Nick eagerly slung his heavy machine gun over his shoulder and grabbed the giant tank's exterior, preparing to climb up.

Alex chuckled, pulled everyone along, and used teleportation to appear directly on top of the tank.

Steve swung his shield, smashing open the tank's turret door with one blow, casually tossing a Hydra soldier out of the tank before climbing in himself.

Upon entering the tank, they discovered that the occupants had been dazed by the earlier explosions, which was why they hadn't reacted. Nick, however, couldn't wait. He excitedly rushed to the tank's control panel, quickly figuring it out. In just a few moments, the immobilized giant tank roared back to life.

"There's a radio here!" Natasha pointed to the side of the control panel, where a radio sat with the Hydra insignia. "It must be Hydra's dedicated radio."

After fighting so many battles and eliminating so many soldiers and Hydra operatives, the Howling Commandos had unfortunately never managed to capture a Hydra radio. Because of this, they had been unable to track Hydra's movements.

Seeing the Hydra radio, Alex also became excited. He pointed at Natasha and said eagerly, "Quick, quick, see if there's any news!"

Natasha fiddled with the radio for a while before turning to Alex. "Zola, there's news about Zola!"

"This lucky?" Alex looked at Natasha in disbelief. "He's not on a train, is he?" Alex couldn't help but think of Bucky, who, in the movie, fell off a train during the operation to capture Zola.

"So clever!" Natasha smiled charmingly and said slowly, "Zola is escorting a batch of equipment to the front lines, so he'll be on the train."

"Alright, let's go cause him some trouble!" Alex steadied himself and said with a smile.

On a cliff, the wind and snow raged. Below the cliff was a narrow railway track, where Zola's train would pass soon. Because Alex was present, they didn't have to rig a long rope as they did in the movie. While it was much more convenient, it lacked a certain thrill.

In the biting cold wind, Alex sat on a rock, looking somewhat pensive.

"Alex, what's wrong?" Steve asked, flipping his shield in his hands as he sat down next to Alex and looked at him. "You've seemed a bit different since you arrived here."

Alex snapped back to attention, looking at Steve with a hopeful expression. "Steve, do you think Bucky might have been rescued?" Alex harbored a lingering hope that Bucky would be rescued, just like in the movie. Even if he became Hydra's personal assassin, it would be fine as long as Bucky was alive.

Steve's expression darkened at his words, and he fell silent.

"They're here!" Natasha's warning came as a train sped up from below the cliff, moving at an incredible speed.

Logan stubbed out his cigar and looked at the fast-moving train, a look of annoyance on his face. "In such a hurry to die? Going so fast!"

Alex patted his butt and stood up, chuckling softly. "Yes, they really are in a hurry to die!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Alex pulled everyone along, and they teleported to the roof of the speeding train. The oncoming wind and snow directly entered their noses and mouths, making it very uncomfortable.

After a moment of adjustment, Steve raised his shield and led the way, guiding everyone down from the train. He kicked open a door and entered the train.

As soon as the group entered the train, triumphant laughter erupted from all around.

Hearing the familiar laughter, Alex frowned, his expression turning grim. "Zola!"

"Teleporter, Captain America, and the great Howling Commandos!" Zola's laughter rang out again, growing more triumphant. "Welcome to Death Train!"

"It's a trap!" Natasha's face changed, and she shouted urgently at Alex, "Let's go, we need to leave quickly!"

"Leave? Why should we leave?" Alex snorted, tilting his head back and shouting at the surroundings. "Zola, you short, stumpy little runt, get out here! I'm going to kill you!"

Alex's sudden outburst stunned everyone. Steve and the others stared at Alex, dumbfounded, before finally recovering. "Alex, you..."

"I have a bit of a grudge with him, just letting out some steam by cursing," Alex shrugged nonchalantly. "We'll get to the serious stuff later."

Zola, standing at the front of the train, turned crimson with anger upon hearing Alex's insults. He took a deep breath and snorted, "Just wait to die, all of you!"
