On the fifteenth day of the examination, ten slave monsters from different worlds were released into the testing grounds.
These monsters were all at the Advanced Apprentice stage. To most apprentices, they were insurmountable mountains. They slaughtered every Wizard Apprentice they saw throughout the testing grounds, not only because the wizards had promised them freedom, but also because of the blood-deep hatred between their two races.
"Richard, have you locked onto him?"
Richard frowned. Through Munin's vision, the four-armed monster was constantly moving.
He was continually searching for hidden Wizard Apprentices, then slaughtering and devouring them.
"Go one kilometer north. That monster's been held up."
Richard gave the order and swiftly followed Ellie, using Levitation to fly at high speed less than a meter above the ground.
A kilometer away, Griffith and Kevin were desperately fending off Koguk's attacks.
"Kevin, heal me."
Griffith gripped his Greatsword, holy radiance gleaming around him like a paladin. Behind him, Kevin was cloaked in the aura of death, with several walking corpses at his side as helpers.
"Alright."
Cold sweat kept dripping down Kevin's pale face. One Magic Stone after another had its magic power drained away, turning into spells that supported Griffith.
Necromancy Apprentices had once borne another name in the distant past: the Life and Death School. The wizards of that school studied life energy and death energy.
Later, because of the Wizard War, wizards who studied death energy became the mainstream. The name Life and Death School was gradually replaced by Necromancy School.
