Background

The Fu Family descends from the second Palace Master of Fufeng Immortal Palace. After the Wind Immortal and his wife ascended, their son allowed the children born to his several wives to bear their mothers’ surnames; the Fu, Ling, Wei, Bao, Yin, and Cheng families emerged from this lineage and later formed the Six Winds Hall. 116

During the Battle of Fuzhou, Fu Tai’s eldest son and his wife, along with Fu Tai himself, died protecting the family. Fu Tai’s surviving eldest grandson and second son rebuilt the clan. Their descendants ultimately formed the Baihuang and Xuju halls, whose relationship remained outwardly polite but distant for centuries. 305 430

The Baiyu Hall line descends from Fu Chen, Fu Tai’s younger brother.
