Ancient Eras

The Immortal Spirit Ancient Texts preserve the following broad chronology 616.

During the Immeasurable Tribulation, a heaven-defying expert shattered the Great Dao of Life and Death Reincarnation. The dead could no longer reincarnate, leaving their resentment and regrets to accumulate throughout the Immortal Domain 874.

The Central Immortal Domain became a principal target of the dark invasion. Dark Immortal Emperors established a battlefield within it, while powers from Above the Immortal Domain attempted to contaminate its Immortal Source Core 657. Four Great Immortal Domains were destroyed, leaving the fragments that became the Chaos Star Sea 612.

Later revelations complicate the surviving historical accounts. Su Changge concludes that Origin Divine City’s attempt to unite the realms into a Perfect World exposed the Nine Great Immortal Domains to Unknown Beings, precipitating the tribulation, invasion, and destruction of four domains 1262.

Reconnection with the Lower Realms

For countless epochs, the Immortal Domain remained a distant legend to the Three Thousand Dao Domains. Grand Void True Person, stranded below after an ancient battle, had lost so much power and memory that he no longer knew whether it still existed 18.

Its descent transformed the laws of the Three Thousand Dao Domains. Immortal intent appeared, immortal palaces manifested overhead, and cultivators who had spent their lives seeking immortality finally witnessed the upper realm’s return 589 590.

The reconnection also prompted competing factions to send representatives below. The Immortal Court and Supreme Dao Court dispatched Scout True Immortals, while the Taboo Su Family and Returning Origin Immortal Sect prepared to welcome Su Changge 594 598. Su Changge subsequently entered the Immortal Domain himself 612.

Reopening and Political Upheaval

The Era of the Heavens’ Reopening revived immortal qi and laws throughout the Immortal Domain, restoring connections with All Heavens and Myriad Worlds 656. Ancient secret realms appeared, sealed prodigies awakened, and competitors from three different ages gathered in the same era 844.

The announcement that Su Changge was the shared successor of the Taboo Su Family, Reincarnation Immortal Dynasty, and Returning Origin Immortal Sect alarmed rival powers. They feared his combined backing would allow him to monopolize future opportunities 633.

Conflict escalated when the Returning Origin Immortal Sect exposed the Great Qian Dao Sect and Wind and Cloud Spear Pavilion as collaborators of the Immortal Domain Heavenly Dao. Numerous factions joined the attack against them 827 830. The resulting slaughter produced such immense resentment that six Immortal Emperors had to establish an eternal array to suppress it and prevent darkness from exploiting it 835.

The Taboo Su Family later hosted the All Heavens Grand Meet, but its attempt to establish a united front achieved only limited cooperation. Many ancient factions instead suspected the family of seeking control over the Immortal Domain and began pursuing alliances of their own 1050 1097 1098.

Restoration and War against Darkness

Su Changge led the armies of the myriad races against the Darkness Forbidden Zones and restored the Central Immortal Domain to completeness 1349. During his prolonged disappearance, Burial Life killed the other four Heavenly Daos, consolidated the authority of five domains, and pledged herself to his Eternal Heavenly Court 1332.

After another costly victory, the Taboo Su Family announced a gathering in Huang Ji Immortal City to establish two new Order Factions and reveal a method for restoring the four shattered domains 1373. Eight newly born Immortal Domain Heavenly Daos subsequently pledged themselves to Su Changge alongside Burial Life 1377.

Darkness later invaded throughout the heavens, drawing everyone from mortal armies to Immortal Emperors into resistance 1402. When Su Changge entered the Darkness Origin Realm alone, the Immortal Domain’s factions launched a coordinated counteroffensive to divert enemy forces from him. Its armies, Heavenly Dao, and projections of the Three Thousand Great Daos all participated 1422.

The closing side story depicts the Immortal Domain’s heavens as peaceful and harmonious, with Su Changge’s children creating legends in an era offering fewer genuine hardships than their father’s 1475.

World Origins and Immortal Source Cores

• Immortal Source Cores embody a domain’s Origin Power and function like the true spirit of a great world. Destroying a core causes its domain to collapse into desolate star ruins 504 1330.
• Core fragments can become independent Small Worlds. The Outer Lands formed from a peripheral fragment 504.
• The Three Thousand Dao Domains manifested from an entire Immortal Source Core and are identified as the World Projection of the Central Immortal Domain 504 656.
• The Primordial Chaos Realm once bordered the Central Immortal Domain, but shattered and scattered after the ancient war 505.
• The Origin Realm lies Above the Immortal Domain. The Three Thousand Great Daos Barriers sever their connection to prevent the Origin Realm’s power from invading below 648 1378.
• The God of the Final Origin is ultimately linked to the birth of both the Origin Realm and the Immortal Domain’s heavens through his separation of his own five wills 1475.

Major Political Camps

Before the ancient factions fully emerged, the Immortal Domain’s political situation was described as three overt camps and two hidden hostile camps 830.

• Ancient powers: Historical records identify Twelve Great Order Factions, Thirty-Six Unparalleled Immortal Sects, and Seventy-Two Supreme Heavens. Their reemergence changes the balance among the present-day factions 616.
• Innate Ancestral Origin: An Order Faction composed of the earliest Innate Lifeforms, regarded as an origin of the Immortal Domain’s cultivation civilization 1064 1200.
• Divine Court and Ancestor Demon Hall: Rival Order Factions that form an alliance while contesting the search for the Central Immortal Domain 1161 1172.

Heavenly Daos

The Heavenly Daos are world spirits formed from their domains’ origins and the faith of their inhabitants. Burial Life explains that they should have served as the people’s swords and shields, but outside interference sought to erase their identities and turn them into instruments of slaughter 1283.

Their covert leadership attempted to exploit the Immeasurable Tribulation to weaken powerful factions and unify the domains. This scheme instead helped darkness return to All Heavens 697. Their authority later passes through Burial Life’s consolidation and, ultimately, service within the Eternal Heavenly Court 1332 1377.

Cultivation and the Great Dao

The Immortal Domain recognizes six principal Immortal Dao realms, with corresponding artifact ranks 673.

• Above Immortal Emperor: A higher threshold associated with ascending Above the Immortal Domain and learning its deeper secrets 608 614.
• Great Dao Ranking List: Appears across the domains to recognize prodigies and mark stages of the Reopening era. It announces Su Changge as that era’s first prodigy to reach Heavenly Immortal 861.
• Great Dao Academy: Its descent gathers supreme prodigies from across the Immortal Domain for competition during the Reopening 1037 1099.
• Great Dao Will: Can regulate exceptional cultivation events and produce Great Dao Blockers, including Immortal Emperor projections restricted to Golden Immortal cultivation 992.

Inhabitants and Society

• Peoples: Human, Demon Race, Ancient Race, and Innate Lifeform powers participate in the Immortal Domain’s political and cultivation landscape 633 1064.
• Lower-realm ascendants: Cultivators can establish major upper-realm powers. The Flame Hell Great Emperor and Martial Origin Great Emperor are credited with founding factions that became members of the Eighteen Transcendent Forces 884.
• Exiles: Surviving collateral branches of defeated sects and Dao lineages may be banished to the End of the Immortal Domain after their principal bloodlines and leaders are exterminated 1350.
• Criminal Clans: Races and sects condemned for betraying the heavens during the ancient Dark War 1350.
• Writing: Great Dao Origin Ancient Characters are regarded as the origin of the Immortal Domain’s written language 781.
