Yun Yun first appears in the Battle Through the Heavens world while fighting the Amethyst Winged Lion King in the Monster Mountain Range. After being injured and falling into a stream, she is located by Yang Tian, who takes her to a cave and restores her wounds with Life Energy. Her cultivation remains sealed for a time, leaving her dependent on his assistance. 337 339 340

Although initially wary of Yang Tian's teasing and bold behavior, Yun Yun gradually comes to trust him. They exchange their real names while sheltering in the cave, and she later travels with him toward the Yunlan Sect. 341 351
