From chapter 257 onwards, it's a completely different story.

It was an interesting fanfic up until around chapter 170. But then the MC reached level 70 and, possessing the combat power of a Super Douluo, stopped being a decent person; he started slaughtering entire families and sects over the slightest of offenses.

The breaking point for me was when the MC decided to wipe out a whole sect because one of its disciples tried to pull a financial scam on him—the kind where someone throws themselves in front of a car to fake being hit.

very good dragon novel. Author has like 3-4 other novels all related to WOW-esque dragon and fantasy lore so hes experienced. Liking it a lot. Probably one of the best Dragon + mild kingdom build novel on qidian. There is some dragon soft smut tho which does get a bit weird. Author really into the dragon stuff.

Ive read a bit of this before. It is a fun read.

9/10. Quite interesting, what I like most is the MCs personality, completely willful and uncaring of morality. Is quite the good infinite flow novel.
By around 650 chapter the MCs cheat also becomes useless, so it's not a completely system led novel or anything.

On chapter 48, slow start but very interesting. In the main story I always wonder how strong would the bomb bomb fruit would be in the right hands. This book is most certainly telling me that this fruit is OP as hell.

This is trash it has a doubling somehow practicing a super heavenly technique and not exploding plus a nine star dou ling consumes a heavenly flame with a technique that is supposed to be WAY better than the original flame mantra yet only advances 1 star to dou wang

Hmmm the story premise is interesting HOWEVER the author seems to ignore a bit about how things work in the world like for example having a Dou Huang use a supreme cultivation technique (though it is an otherworldly technique so this might get a pass) or how people in the remote Tahoe desert seem to know about the pill pagoda when they shouldn’t or having the imperial pill acting in a second instead of needing the power to be refined. In short it has a lot of problems but it’s a decent enough premise so far

Not bad but its not really finished. The author had some very good ideas. I loved how he dealt with Black Zetsu, a very awesome way.

Okay I'm gonna be so real. It started out decently fine. Though the incest was baffling. Not in the "I hate incest" way, but in the "they made them full on biological first cousins raised believing they are full blood brothers so how did they get the nerve to insist they arent blood related" way.

I don't mind incest! I am not some prude who gets huffy over fiction. But I think compared to "fake young master x real young master" or "raised knowing you're adopted with little to no blood relation", I think it's a lot more bizarre to insist it's not real incest when they are literal direct first cousins by blood. Just own up to it, man. You wrote the incest. Admit it's incest.

All that said, I think this is a different Eighth Party than the business war danmei Eighth Party. The writing style compared to the 8th Party I'm familiar with is... mm. Lacking. The style is completely different and I can't even use the excuse of this being just an earlier novel because I can't connect the development in style and tone at all, as well as genre preference, and the author notes feel like talking to a different person.

Also while I understand the grievances with the Japanese in China and like. Most of East Asia in general. There's a limit to how far you can go before you are just writing straight up racist shit. Like holy shit. It wasn't there in the first 3/4ths but once the spy traitor plotline popped up it was just an ongoing stream of calling the Japanese dirty and stubby and hideous. Plus there were full on eugenics getting pulled out there? Like full on rewriting genetic code for "improvement". And the cultivation world got jammed in in the final stretch? It wasnt there for like... any of the rest of the story? Just popped up his heeeyyyy I'm here too and by the end I was only finishing it because I was too close to the end to stop.

Anyways if the start was a majestic eagle soaring in the sky, the end was a bit like a half dead duck blind in one eye covered in feces. It just. It was a lot. I didn't have a great time, man. Wow. I sure persevered, though. I will just consider the day I spent on this a character growth montage. I guess.

A good light hearted fun read. I enjoyed it

8.5/10. Good novel in the High Martial genre.

9/10. Nice Warhammer fanfic. Really captures the feeling of war everywhere.
