Background and History
Artoria ruled Britain as the King of Knights. She bound her fate to her people and land, and mourned Britain’s fall 98.
During the Fifth Holy Grail War, she serves Shirou Emiya. She guards him closely, even watching over him as he sleeps, but grows frustrated when their side delays an attack on Caster. While Shirou rests, she leaves the Emiya residence alone to scout Ryuudou Temple 94 106 107.
In the depicted Fate/Zero war, Artoria fights alongside Diarmuid against Gilgamesh. She swears to finish her interrupted duel with Diarmuid as a contest between knights. Kiritsugu later uses Command Spells to strengthen her for the fight, then orders her to kill herself; she disappears, and he later recognizes why she resents him 174 175 501.
