Background / History
Jun Linchen first encountered Xiao Han at Sun-Illuminated Peak while fleeing from his arranged marriage to Xuanyuan Xinhan. Xiao Han offered advice to both of them, prompting them to reconsider their relationship; Xinhan subsequently returned to her clan to think matters over. 452 520
He later traveled to the Donghuang Empire seeking its Three Treasures: Donghuang Wine, the Donghuang Full Feast, and the Donghuang Female Emperor. He gathered intelligence on the Imperial Culinary Feast and entered the Imperial City with Xiao Han using an aura-concealing secret treasure. 453 455
After being caught in the Imperial Kitchen by the Donghuang Female Emperor, Jun Linchen and Xiao Han were spared and assigned duties during the feast. When Princes Wu Xuan and Huo Mo insulted the Donghuang Imperial Household disciples, the pair challenged them in their defense. Jun Linchen overwhelmingly suppressed Huo Mo with golden spiritual energy and fist techniques. 456 457
Jun Linchen accompanied Xiao Han to Mount Shu Divine Sword Sect, where they began their stay by roasting Mount Shu Immortal Cranes. He defeated the sect’s outer disciples with his physical strength, then displayed nine-colored sword intent at the Sword Testing Stone, humiliating Mount Shu’s senior disciple Shen Qingxuan after her own seven-color result. 459 460
At Mount Shu, Elder Wujian guided Jun Linchen and Xiao Han in the sword dao. Jun Linchen comprehended the Sword of Rules and spent three months studying at the Sword Dao Field, Sword River, and Sword Skill Pavilion. 462 463
His unresolved relationship with Xuanyuan Xinhan resurfaced when her brother, Xuanyuan Zhantian, came to Mount Shu demanding answers over her disappearance. Jun Linchen later found Xinhan at Secluded World Manor and asked her to return home, but she refused. He chose to remain at the manor, where their relationship gradually developed. 468 470 471
With Xuanyuan Xinhan supporting him, Jun Linchen underwent the Heavenly Venerate Tribulation and advanced to Heavenly Supreme. The two subsequently married in Western Heaven Sacred City. 530 531
Personality
Jun Linchen is bold, prideful, and unwilling to yield even when facing prominent figures. He refused to give way to Shen Qingxuan at Mount Shu’s Sword Testing Stone and openly mocked her after surpassing her result. 459 460
He is also mischievous and impulsive. His plans to steal and roast Shen Qingxuan’s immortal cranes repeatedly caused conflict, though he later joined Xiao Han in apologizing when he learned the cranes were keepsakes left by her parents. 460 462 468
Despite initially fleeing his marriage, Jun Linchen becomes deeply concerned for Xuanyuan Xinhan after her disappearance. He is visibly anxious while searching for her and ultimately remains at Secluded World Manor rather than abandoning their relationship again. 469 470 471
