Malfoy had barely rushed into Flourish and Blotts before he emerged again, leading out a pale-faced, haughty man with long platinum-blond hair and a snake-headed cane in hand—his father, Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius swept his cold gray eyes over Silas, Harry, and Hermione, his gaze filled with undisguised contempt and disgust. He first affectedly tapped his cane lightly against the ground, then said to Draco in a drawn-out tone, as though reprimanding an unruly servant:
"Ah, Draco, how many times have I warned you? Do not lower yourself by getting into conflicts with... people like this." His gaze deliberately lingered on Hermione and Silas. "They are merely... pitiful proof of how far wizarding society has fallen."
His words were vicious, wrapping blood prejudice and personal attacks beneath a veneer of false elegance.
However, Silas Cyril was having none of it!
Rather than being angered, Silas began clapping exaggeratedly, letting out sounds of astonishment with an utterly punchable, mocking smile on his face.
"Wow, wow, wow, what a big mouth! So you're that... legendary Lucius Malfoy, Voldemort's purse, who immediately pretended to have amnesia after Voldemort fell and only avoided Azkaban by bribing Ministry of Magic officials... Voldemort's golden retriever?"
His words struck like a thunderclap from clear skies, directly tearing open the scar and disguise Lucius least wanted anyone to mention! The surrounding spectators immediately sucked in a collective breath!
Lucius's face instantly turned livid, and the fingers gripping his snake-headed cane whitened at the knuckles.
As if he felt that was not enough firepower, Silas suddenly raised a perfectly straight middle finger at Lucius before he could react! This highly insulting Muggle gesture left Lucius and the Pure-blood wizards behind him stunned. Though they did not understand its exact meaning, they could still feel the intense contempt behind it.
