Background
Silas was a seven-year-old boy in London when memories of his past life as Chinese medical student Lin Yuan awakened on his birthday. The memories do not constitute a complete rebirth; Silas experiences them as though watching a film and retains his own childish temperament. That same day, he instinctively created a portal and awakened the Supreme Mage System. 1
The System identifies his principal path as Vishanti Origin, a Supreme Magic skill tree built around energy shaping, release, and spatial manipulation. It also contains a locked Dark Dimension branch, whose power is faster and more dangerous but risks addiction and mental corruption. 2
His mother, Pella, is a Squib and recognizes the magical nature of his cloak rather than reacting with fear. Her knowledge of the wizarding world gives Silas a plausible explanation for his abilities within his family. 2
After reckless public use of magic draws attention, Silas is confronted by Kingsley Shacklebolt and later Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore arranges for him to remain at Hogwarts before his formal enrollment, both to educate him and to keep his unusual power under supervision. 3 5 7
Appearance
Silas commonly wears a deep-blue mage robe and a crimson Levitating Cloak rather than standard Hogwarts uniform. He has slightly messy light-brown hair and brown eyes. 1 37 115
- His hair turns vivid red after intense magical output, then gradually returns to light brown when he regains control. 73
- He later wears the restored Diadem of Ravenclaw, which glows with silver “wisdom.” 115 116
- His dark-red Levitating Cloak behaves like a living companion, often wrapping around him while he sleeps. 22 49
Personality
Silas is notably lazy, practical, and impatient with inconvenience. He prefers direct solutions, dislikes boring classes and formal procedures, and treats magical power chiefly as a means of self-preservation, efficiency, and maintaining a comfortable life. 12 24 80
He is highly protective of people he considers his own, especially Hermione and Eddie, even when he initially complains about being involved. He will step into danger for them, provide magical instruction, and use his abilities to resolve threats threatening their safety. 25 52 59
Silas strongly values privacy and reacts aggressively to unauthorized Legilimency. He is also defiant toward authority when he considers it unfair, particularly in his confrontations with Snape and Dumbledore. 4 6 18 19
His morality is inconsistent: he can heal and stabilize an enemy such as Quirrell, yet he also uses the Killing Curse, seeks Darkhold fragments, and kills Rodolphus Lestrange for power. 34 58 Dumbledore characterizes him as a “sophisticated egoist” whose actions center on preserving stability and comfort within his own world. 80
Abilities & Skills
Vishanti Magic
Silas casts a distinct magical system independent of conventional British wand magic. His Vishanti Origin skill tree develops through core principles of energy shaping and energy release. 2 22
- His strongest known Vishanti offensive spells include Balzar's Lightning, Borsat's Thunder, Watoom's Wind, The Seven Suns of Singnis, and Vishanti's Flame. 31 93 99
- Claws of Denak fires arcane energy blasts; Silas later teaches the basic spell to Colin Creevey. 6 57
- Vishanti Holy Sword creates sacred light blades particularly effective against dark creatures; Silas uses one to kill the Basilisk while time is stopped. 59 87
- Heavy use of high-level spells can significantly drain his magic. 22 44
Portal Creation
Silas can draw stable portals bare-handed, allowing instantaneous travel across Hogwarts, Britain, and international locations. 1 16 76
- Uses portals for escape, infiltration, transporting companions, and bypassing Hogwarts' physical barriers. 3 25 35
- Can redirect attacks through portals, as when he sends Balzar's Lightning behind Voldemort. 44
- Early portals could lead to unintended destinations when opened under pressure. 3
- He later teaches portal fundamentals to Hermione and Eddie through Suspended Rings. 52 66
Defensive and Control Magic
Silas possesses several Vishanti spells focused on protection, binding, and spell transformation.
- Ring of the Ragaddor creates a compact runic shield capable of blocking the Killing Curse. 6 44
- Seraphim Shield forms a large defensive barrier that can absorb or convert hostile magic. 73
- Sekern Red Belt binds targets in highly stable red energy beams and can seal a restrained opponent's magic. 31 40
- The Red Belt cannot reliably restrain opponents vastly stronger than Silas, such as Dumbledore or Voldemort at full strength. 40
- Lord of Hogus transforms and dispels magic; Silas uses it to convert Fiendfyre into harmless golden butterflies, though doing so nearly exhausts him. 44
Illusion and Dimensional Magic
- Ekron's Form creates illusory combat clones to confuse opponents. 57
- Mirror Dimension is unlocked after Lord of Hogus and Ekron's Form reach mastery. 93
- Watoom's Wind controls atmospheric and fluid energy, producing focused destructive force and potentially broader environmental control. 93
Dark Magic
Silas deliberately explores the Dark Dimension despite the System's warnings about mental corruption. 2 30
- Dark Dimension Summon opens rifts to call mindless dark creatures; Silas summons a massive dark-energy fire dragon against Voldemort. 30 44
- Dark Dimension Meteor calls down a large, corrosive, destructive meteor and fills his need for area-of-effect offense. 58
- He can cast Avada Kedavra and has used it against a troll and Rodolphus Lestrange. 29 58
- His Dark Magic development is tied to fragments of the Darkhold. 29 58
Time Manipulation
The Eye of Agamotto grants Silas control over time once sufficiently charged. 83 87
- Initially consumes substantial magic and serves as a powerful safety measure. 83
- After being charged with ancient magic, it can stop time in a localized area and rewind events without paradoxes. 87
- He uses its power to restore corrupted artifacts, including Ravenclaw's Diadem. 115
- Its use allows him to intervene in the past and rescue Ariana Dumbledore. 89 90
Hogwarts Magic and Transfiguration
Silas is also proficient with standard Hogwarts magic, though he views his wand primarily as a classroom tool.
- His wand amplifies conventional spells but does not significantly enhance his Vishanti arcane energy. 12
- He performs advanced Transfiguration, turning a match into an ornate engraved needle. 20
- He brews excellent potions despite Snape's biased grading and performs strongly in Charms, Transfiguration, and Potions examinations. 19 46
- He uses healing magic and the Life Barrier to keep Quirrell alive during transport to the Ministry. 33 34
Equipment / Weapons / Items

Story Role / Major Arcs
Awakening and Early Hogwarts Residence
Silas awakens his past-life memories and the Supreme Mage System at age seven, then attracts the attention of Kingsley Shacklebolt and Dumbledore through reckless portal use. He accepts Dumbledore's offer to study at Hogwarts early, becoming its unofficial young resident before formally joining the student body. 1 3 5 7
First Year and the Quirrell Conflict

Forbidden Forest Duel
While collecting unicorn mane with Eddie, Silas encounters Voldemort in a stronger host. Darkhold and Chamber of Secrets Investigation
Silas begins actively using Dark Magic, kills Rodolphus Lestrange for a Darkhold fragment, investigates Tom Riddle's diary, and trains Hermione, Eddie, and Colin in introductory Vishanti Magic. He also kills the Basilisk with the Eye of Agamotto's time stop before Hermione can face it. 52 57 58 87
Pacific Vortex Incident
Silas and Eddie investigate a Pacific Ocean vortex containing an alchemical octopus and imprisoned Obscurial. Horcrux Hunt and Founder Portraits
After obtaining the Eye of Agamotto, Silas shifts from avoiding Voldemort's affairs to proactively locating Horcruxes. He retrieves the Ravenclaw Diadem, Hufflepuff Cup, and Gaunt ring, helps preserve the Resurrection Stone, restores the diadem, and relocates Salazar Slytherin's portrait to the Slytherin common room. 83 84 89 91 92 115

- He considers the Hogwarts Express and broom flight inefficient compared with portals and the Levitating Cloak. 12 24
- He has little interest in Quidditch and frequently chooses sleep over watching or attending classes. 22 68
