Avery could not believe that his own strength had actually been overpowered by David.
At the center of the shattered ground, the soft soil had been compressed until it was as hard as stone. Purple ripples undulated across David's body like waves of light on a star's surface, and the purple glow in his eyes blazed like two small suns. His imposing presence made him seem like a god descended to earth as he slowly spoke.
"Obviously, you're not fast enough."
That punch had forced him to use his physical strength, but once purple light radiated from his body, no one could detect the unusual color of his skin.
"This kind of power?!"
Falcone and the others climbed to their feet and looked down from the window again, unable to conceal the horror on their faces.
The earth had been compacted downward by several dozen centimeters under that terrifying force, leaving a hole dozens of meters wide. It looked as though missiles had bombarded the area, yet it was only the result of the two of them exchanging a simple punch.
Batman unconsciously clenched his fists. A trace of shock showed in his eyes, and his expression was impossibly complicated.

Amid a roar, Avery kicked apart the ground and shot forward like a cannonball, throwing another punch with a savage roar.
