"He... he's in that room."

Falcone pointed out, his face stiff.

That was originally his bedroom, but now it looked like it had been attacked.

He didn't understand. Had the world changed? Were there really so many monsters nowadays? This was a mafia headquarters that could make children stop crying, yet they all treated it like an amusement park, coming and going whenever they pleased.

"Batman?"

Seeing the gliding figure, David's eyes narrowed slightly before another figure drew his attention.

Beside the shattered window, a bare-chested figure wore a grim expression. He waved away the choking smoke before looking down contemptuously at the fleeing figure, as if he were watching a bug doomed never to escape his grasp.

David turned and glanced at Falcone.

No surprise, Batman had probably come looking for trouble with Falcone, only to find the wrong man.

"Suddenly discovering that, instead of an aged and feeble mob boss, he'd found a monster a Batarang couldn't even pierce."
