The once-bustling streets had grown somewhat desolate.
Only flickering neon lights illuminated the entire street.
As Yahiko and the others entered the street, they all frowned. People were scattered sparsely about, and there was none of the usual liveliness.
"What happened!? Where is everyone?" Deidara stared blankly at the deserted street before him.
This place had always been incredibly lively.
"Something is wrong," Konan said to Yahiko.
The lack of people was one thing, but the key issue was that none of Akatsuki's members had come out.
By all rights, someone should have welcomed them back.
"It seems someone could no longer hold back and made their move."
The confidence on Yahiko's face vanished, replaced by a grave expression. Anyone who dared strike directly at Akatsuki was certainly no ordinary opponent.
He already had some suspicions. Someone could attack them directly without any regard for the forces behind them.
"Aizen!!"
Yahiko muttered the name under his breath.
"I'm going to the building!"
He wanted to see what this Aizen intended to do.
Since the other party had set their sights on them, it was already far too late to run.
"You all wait for now," Yahiko told the people behind him.
If Aizen attacked him, he was confident he could escape, but the others might be lost here.
"Then we'll leave it to the deputy leader," Law said in farewell.
Capone Bege slowly exhaled a ring of smoke, exchanged a glance with Bonney, and turned to leave.
Neither of them had any intention of lingering.
Kisame tugged on the ropes binding the people from the Parallel World and led them away in another direction.
The others followed suit and departed as well.
None of them wanted to fight a Six Paths-level powerhouse.
The current Akatsuki did not possess much loyalty.
