Ichigo Kurosaki entered the Land of Shadow to rescue Tayuya, trained to master Bankai, and freed his captured allies before confronting Orochimaru. After returning home, he followed Rukia Kuchiki into Soul Society with Tayuya, where Shisui split from them and Aizen and a Soul Reaper confronted the group.

• Ichigo Kurosaki awakened his Spiritual Power with Tayuya’s wristguard and helped her and the Three Ghosts defeat five Hollows.
• After Kimimaro took Tayuya to the Land of Shadow, Ichigo Kurosaki trained with Kisuke Urahara, joined the Visored through a portal, and learned that Orochimaru had used Tayuya to lure him.
• Ichigo Kurosaki mastered Bankai under deadly pressure from Dark Ichigo, then joined Yoruichi and Chako to break into the Fifth Legion’s prison and free the Visored.
• Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions fought their way toward Orochimaru, who captured Ichigo, Tayuya, and Yoruichi before later releasing them and returning Tayuya home.
• Ichigo Kurosaki returned to Karakura Town, where Rukia Kuchiki arrived and became his classmate, while Aizen arranged for her to draw Ichigo and the Land of Shadow into Soul Society.
• Gin Ichimaru used Yuryu Ishida as a hostage, so Ichigo Kurosaki and Tayuya entered Soul Society and called on the Land of Shadow for help.
• Shisui arrived through Ichigo Kurosaki’s advisor token, gathered intelligence, and joined Ichigo and Tayuya in breaking through Seireitei’s gate.
• Inside Seireitei, Shisui fought Sōsuke Aizen while Tayuya used the Three Ghosts against pursuing Soul Reapers, until a gloomy-looking Soul Reaper confronted her.

Ichigo Kurosaki and the Land of Shadow battled Soul Society, Aizen, and the Arrancar as their interests collided over Rukia, the Hōgyoku, and the Soul King. The fighting continued in Karakura Town, where Aizen was trapped in an illusion and Tobirama Senju confronted Yhwach.

• Ichigo Kurosaki rescued Rukia Kuchiki from execution as Orochimaru announced the Land of Shadow’s arrival, and the invaders defeated Soul Society’s defenders while Aizen stole the Hōgyoku from Rukia and escaped.
• Ichigo Kurosaki returned to the Living World with the Legion Commanders, where Uchiha Jin joined his school and offered power to Tatsuki Arisawa before Aizen’s Arrancar attacked Karakura Town.
• Ichigo Kurosaki regained his Soul Reaper powers and defeated Ulquiorra, while Aizen gathered the Espada and attacked the Soul Reapers to create the Ōken.
• Aizen took the Soul King’s remains from Ukitake Jushiro, and Uchiha Jin declared the Land of Shadow’s invasion before splitting the fighters into battles across Karakura Town.
• Aizen evolved as the commanders fought the Soul Reapers, while Yhwach, Aizen, and Ichibe Hyosube sealed Uchiha Jin in a shadow space and Gin Ichimaru helped Isshin Kurosaki take the Hōgyoku.
• Uchiha Osame and Uchiha Shisui trapped Aizen in their Infinite Tsukuyomi, while Tobirama Senju fought Yhwach and Uchiha Jin watched as a green figure approached Ichigo Kurosaki and Isshin Kurosaki.

Uchiha Jin reshaped the Three Realms after the Soul King’s death, while Kinoki was sent to Sea Star and became entangled in the war against Madara Uchiha. The arc left the battle raging across Sea Star, with Madara and Hashirama fighting in Six Paths forms and Aizen pursuing the power within Kinoki.

• Ichigo Kurosaki accepted the Soul King’s role, but Uchiha Jin forced the Soul King out of him, killed him, and took control of the realms.
• Uchiha Jin merged the Living World into Shadow Star and joined the other realms into the Pure Land, then assigned Tobirama Senju to help manage the expanded Land of Shadow.
• Aizen escaped Shadow Star with Blackbeard and Golden Lion, then joined Aokiji’s efforts to reclaim Sea Star from Madara Uchiha.
• Kinoki traveled to Sea Star, restored Data and the villagers after a pirate attack, ate their sacred Firepower Fruit, and set out toward the Land of Water.
• Kinoki joined Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, helped them evade Marines, and accompanied them into the Land of Water as they declared war on Madara Uchiha.
• Luffy fought Mei Terumi while Kinoki intervened, and the Straw Hat Pirates pressed on toward Pangaea Castle as allied forces converged on Sea Star.
• Aizen attacked Kinoki and injured Luffy, while Madara and Aizen revealed their interest in the Soul King’s power hidden within Kinoki.
• Madara and Hashirama began a Six Paths battle as Garp removed the Straw Hats from the battlefield and other forces fought across Sea Star.

After Aizen’s defeat, Sasori investigated a planet tied to the Life Planet and led Sand Ninja Star into Amestris, where Rasa began conquering the country. Edward and Alphonse became Sasori’s disciples, while Ichigo agreed to help New Country resist the invasion, which Rasa then ordered his forces to conquer.

• Hashirama and the Sea Star forces sealed Madara, but Madara escaped, split Mary Geoise with the Sword of Nunoboko, and fought alongside Hashirama against Aizen’s Black Coffin.
• Garp gained temporary Six Paths power and fought Aizen as Kinoki ascended, but the Soul King took control of Kinoki before Aizen and Madara battled him and sealed away his memories.
• Madara defeated Aizen on a barren planet, while Sasori found a planet that might hold an Origin-level powerhouse and began investigating it with Edward and Alphonse.
• Sasori uncovered the human-made Philosopher’s Stones, trained Edward and Alphonse in Chakra, and led Rasa and Sand Ninja Star’s forces through a doorway into Amestris.
• Sasori entered the Gate of Truth, created Poison through Human Transmutation, and confirmed Edward and Alphonse as his disciples when Rasa confronted them in Central City.
• Rasa defeated Pride and launched Sand Ninja Star’s conquest of Amestris, while Sasori separated Nina from the dog and reunited her with Shou Tucker.
• Ling Yao asked Ichigo to help New Country resist Sand Ninja Star, and Ichigo’s group agreed as Rasa ordered his forces to take the last unconquered nation.
