Impossible to Refuse

Driving her beloved car, Charlotte Doyle quickly arrived outside the Stark Industries Tower.

Just then, Tony arrived in his car and saw Charlotte getting out of the Mercedes-Benz.

Tony stepped forward and said, "Charlotte, your Mercedes-Benz is nice, quite collectible, but you should try a newer model. I think Audi would be good."

After speaking, Tony pointed to the R8 next to him.

Charlotte patted Tony on the shoulder and smiled, "Tony, I'll consider your suggestion."

Tony shrugged, not dwelling on the topic, but instead crouched down, patted Pakkun's head, and greeted him, "Long time no see, Pakkun!"

Pakkun stared at Tony Stark without saying a word, but simply nodded in greeting.

Seeing that Pakkun didn't reply, Tony was a little surprised. He stood up and looked around. There were quite a few people looking their way, so he didn't dwell on it and asked, "Okay, Charlotte, you invited me here because you wanted to tour Stark Industries?"

Tony figured that Charlotte Doyle must have something to discuss with him, given that she specifically chose this location.

Charlotte pointed to the exhibit next to her, which housed the large Arc Reactor, and said, "Tony, can you take me inside to see that big guy?"

Seeing the direction Charlotte pointed, Tony was a little surprised, then readily said, "Follow me."

After verifying their identities and swiping their cards to enter, Tony led Charlotte and Pakkun into the exhibition hall of the large Arc Reactor. The last time they were here was when they met Obadiah.

At this moment, apart from Tony Stark and his group, there was no one else in the exhibition hall. Tony bent down and hugged Pakkun tightly.

"Pakkun, you look small, but you're quite heavy."

"There's no one else here, Pakkun, you can speak now."

As they spoke, Tony didn't forget to ruffle Pakkun's hair a few times, clearly showing his fondness for the Ninja Dog who had protected him.

Pakkun, perched on Tony's arm, didn't seem to mind; Tony's strength was nothing to him. Instead, he replied, "Mr. Tony, there are security cameras here. Remember to delete them later."

Seeing Pakkun's wariness, Tony became even more satisfied, a smile spreading across his face as he said, "Don't worry, no one will notice anything amiss through the surveillance."

Tony then turned to Charlotte Doyle and asked curiously, "Charlotte, why are you interested in this?"

"I remember you've seen something much more advanced, so why did you decide to come see this behemoth?"

As he spoke, Tony gestured to the thing on his chest, saying that it was the real treasure.

Charlotte looked at Tony, who was radiating confidence, and smiled, "Tony, I saw the news. You said you were going to shut down the weapons manufacturing division."

"For this reason, I invested over a billion yuan and chose to short sell."

Upon hearing that Charlotte had chosen to short Stark Industries, Tony wasn't bothered. Instead, he congratulated her, saying, "Charlotte, you've made a fortune. I reckon the stock will continue to fall for a while."

Charlotte glanced at the Giant Arc Reactor in front of her and smiled, "However, this should be your new choice."

"When the price drops sufficiently, I will complete the transaction and then choose to buy."

Tony teased Pakkun as he replied, "You won't make a mistake. Stark Industries is definitely worth your investment."

Charlotte smiled, then stepped over the railing and walked towards the giant Arc Reactor on the platform.

Upon witnessing this, Tony Stark was startled and quickly said, "Friend, that's dangerous. Don't get too close."

Charlotte didn't stop, but asked, "Tony, touching the outer protective layer won't cause an explosion, will it?"

Tony said irritably, "You don't need to worry about stability. As long as you don't fall in from above, it won't hurt you."

Hearing Tony say this, Charlotte felt relieved. She then touched the giant Arc Reactor with one hand, feeling the enormous electrical energy inside.

However, after waiting for a long time, Charlotte did not receive any system notification. He even focused his attention on the System Space to check, and indeed there was no recharge notification.

Charlotte Doyle could only shake his head in disappointment; it seemed there was no hope of using the Arc Reactor for recharging.

Charlotte Doyle reluctantly let go and walked back.

Seeing Charlotte shaking her head, Tony asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"

Charlotte, standing beside Tony, smiled and said, "It's nothing. I've seen everything. Didn't you say you had a new invention? Let's go to your Laboratory and take a look."

Seeing that Charlotte didn't intend to explain, Tony didn't press the matter. He put Pakkun down and said, "Alright, let's go visit my Laboratory then."

After saying that, Tony walked outside.

Charlotte Doyle was somewhat disappointed by her failure to find new in-game items, but learning about Tony's progress on the Mark II was some consolation.

After leaving Stark Industries Tower, the two drove to the Villa Tony had built by the sea.

At that moment, Obadiah, who was in his office, had just received news that Tony had taken his friends to visit the giant Arc Reactor. Before he could get there, he received another message from his subordinates that Tony and his friend had already left.

The thought that Tony had brought a stranger on the tour made Obadiah's face slowly darken. He picked up the phone and ordered, "I need to know who Tony brought on the tour. I need all the information about that person."

After giving instructions to his subordinates, Obadiah returned to his office, looking at the scenery outside with a complex expression on his face.

He remembered telling Tony to keep a low profile; was he looking for a new partner?

Upon arriving at Tony's Seaside Villa, Charlotte was quite impressed with the highly intelligent home environment.

Unfortunately, without artificial intelligence, he won't be able to enjoy such a smart home life. I wonder if Sasori and Orochimaru can create something similar after they arrive.

As they entered the Villa, Jarvis's voice rang out. "Welcome home, Mr. Stark!"

"Welcome, Mr. Charlotte Doyle."

Looking at the voice that rang in her ears, Charlotte feigned surprise and asked curiously, "Tony, is this artificial intelligence?"

Tony smiled and said, "This is my Car AI, my assistant, and of course, he's also an AI system, Jarvis."

"Thank you for your recognition, Mr. Stark!"

Charlotte Doyle was quite interested in Jarvis's proactive interaction; honestly, who could resist an artificial intelligence?

Just like Tony couldn't refuse Pakkun!
