Guesswork

Tony led Pakkun through the crowded streets to Obadiah's side.

"What kind of world is this? People invite guests but not the host?"

Obadiah looked Tony Stark up and down. He didn't know why Tony, who had been busy with research lately, was here, but he still smiled and said:

"Look who's here! Oh, I really didn't expect it."

Then, seeing Pakkun at Tony's feet, she exclaimed, "Tony, when did you become so fond of animals? You even bring them to parties!"

Tony glanced at the various media personnel taking photos around him and said, "I'll wait for you inside."

Without pausing, Tony turned and left.

Obadiah, worried that Tony would use today's banquet to announce his research findings, immediately turned around and grabbed Tony's arm, saying, "Hey, listen to me, don't rush, okay?"

"I think I've convinced the board."

Tony, upon hearing Obadiah's words, replied, "Okay, I understand."

"I acted on impulse, I'll leave in a bit."

Seeing that Tony had been calmed down, Obadiah felt much more at ease.

Tony led Pakkun into the hall of the charity ball without any hindrance.

Not a single party manager or staff member dared to approach Tony and say, "This is a party; dogs aren't allowed."

After all, everyone knows that Tony is a carefree Playboy, so what's wrong with him having a pet?

It's important to know that this dance was held entirely in Tony's name.

Upon arriving at the Beverage Area of the ball, Tony said to the staff, "I'd like a drink."

Coulson, who was standing there considering what to drink, immediately turned around when he heard that familiar voice.

Coulson then met his target, Tony Stark.

But as his gaze shifted, Coulson's pupils contracted slightly. What did he see?

A Pekingese pet dog—actually, the Pekingese itself isn't important, not even Tony Stark's pet dog.

What really caught his attention was the Headband on the Pekingese's forehead, which startled him.

You should know that their Director Nick Fury, has already sent the Bionic Bird Barbara to infiltrate Charlotte's circle to investigate the information of the person carrying this Headband around Charlotte, as well as the meaning that the Headband represents.

But today, he actually saw a pet dog wearing this Headband next to Tony Stark.

Coulson remained calm and undisturbed by the new information. As a professional agent, he had not forgotten his purpose.

"Mr. Stark"

Hearing someone call his name, Tony turned around and looked at the man in front of him.

"I am Agent Coulson."

Tony picked up a glass of drink and said, "Oh, right, right, it's that... what's it?"

Tony remembered that Pepper Potts had once told him about a special agent department that had come looking for him, but Tony didn't remember their name.

Coulson, standing nearby, added, "Strategic Law Enforcement and Logistics Division, Domestic Strategic Intervention Division."

Tony turned and looked down at his glass, replying dismissively, "Yes, that's right."

Tony took a deep breath, took a sip of his drink, and then said, "God, you guys need to change your name!"

Coulson smiled, recalling that Charlotte Doyle had said something similar when they met, and then said, "Yes, everyone says that, including Charlotte Doyle."

Upon hearing that familiar name, Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, and even Pakkun, who was standing next to him, looked at Coulson.

"I know you're having a tough time right now, but we need to know what's going on."

"There are still many unknowns, and time might be tight, so let's schedule another time."

"How about we meet at Stark Industries at 7 p. m. on the 24th?"

Hearing the agent's words, Tony originally planned to find an excuse to leave, and he had already spotted his assistant, Pepper Potts.

However, after hearing the other party mention Charlotte Doyle's name, Tony decided to chat with the agent a little longer.

"Charlotte Doyle? You've already gone to see him?"

Coulson had clearly anticipated that the name would pique Tony's interest, and then continued:

"Yes, I went to see Charlotte Doyle specifically for that reason and asked him about the entire process of rescuing you."

Hearing the agent beside him say this, Tony was clearly not convinced and replied dismissively, "Since you already know the whole story from someone else, why are you coming to me?"

Hearing Tony Stark's retort, Coulson still smiled and slowly said, "Mr. Tony, after all, Charlotte Doyle isn't exactly a good guy."

"Our department can't just listen to his side of the story, so there are some details I need to discuss with you in more detail."

Hearing Coulson slander his friend, Tony lost interest in the conversation. Moreover, from Coulson's words, Tony knew the other man hadn't obtained any real information. He then said, "OK, do as you say. I'm going to find my assistant now."

After speaking, Tony put down his glass and walked towards Pepper Potts on the dance floor without pausing.

After seeing Tony leave, Coulson's gaze fell entirely on the Pekingese.

He was very curious at this moment. It was a pet dog, and he wondered what had gotten into it that had come to Tony's side.

Even to a dance like this, Tony brought her along. Does Tony know the meaning behind the Headband on this Pekingese's forehead?

Or is it that even Tony Stark has joined this organization?

Or perhaps this Pekingese with the distinctive Headband was actually tasked with monitoring Tony Stark?

It's not that Coulson's imagination was wildly wild; it's just that in their line of work, isn't it all about making bold assumptions and carefully verifying them?

Because the actual outcome of many things is consistent with their bold assumptions.

However, what Coulson didn't know was that Tony actually knew about the Headband on Pakkun's head.

After all, it had been almost a month, so how could Tony not have noticed what Pakkun was wearing on his head? He had even asked Pakkun curiously what the Headband meant.

Pakkun's answer was: Not all dogs are called Ninja Dog.

Besides being able to speak and possessing corresponding abilities, those who wear this Headband are the true Ninja Dog in their world.

The person wearing this Headband is called a ninja!

Tony wondered why he had never seen Charlotte Doyle's Headband.

After thinking for a moment, Pakkun explained: Charlotte Doyle also has Headband like that, you just haven't seen it.
