Motherfucker
Seeing Tsunade's domineering words, Charlotte also put away her smile. Although the Gate of Limit had been dispelled by her, her own strength was not weak.
Charlotte looked at Ross with an icy expression, a chilling killing intent emanating from her body, mixed with a massive amount of Chakra.
The temperature at the scene plummeted, turning icy cold. The numerous soldiers with their guns raised suddenly felt as if an invisible hand had gripped their throats, making it instantly difficult to breathe.
Even Ross, a veteran of many battles and accustomed to storms, had cold sweat pouring down his forehead.
He secretly wondered: how many people must he have killed to have such Killing Intent?
That document is problematic, absolutely problematic.
But thinking about the enormous destruction caused today, with an entire block basically destroyed, and the fact that he hadn't captured Bruce Banner and hadn't obtained Blonsky's body, he knew that when he returned to the Pentagon, even as a general and with his family's power, he would be unable to bear the responsibility, and might even have to take off his uniform.
Given his situation, Ross had no choice but to confront Charlotte, even though she was stronger than Banner. Getting back the people who belonged to the military was essential.
As for whether Charlotte and others' strength was due to a special Super Soldier Serum or something else, that's a matter for later.
All he needs to do is overcome the difficulties he faces and resolve this experimental accident.
Braving the enemy's chilling killing intent, Ross waved to his soldiers, signaling them not to react impulsively. Ross knew that soldiers could sometimes have a stress response under intense killing intent, instinctively pulling the trigger.
Of course, the most important reason was that Ross believed his weapons couldn't possibly harm the other side; otherwise, there would be no point in negotiating, he would just arrest them directly.
He showed no mercy to Banner, his woman's boyfriend, so how could he possibly be any different to this stranger, Charlotte Doyle?
Unfortunately, his strength wouldn't allow it. Then Ross said firmly, "Charlotte, you are a strong person, and also a capitalist."
"But military supplies cannot be lost. If you have any other needs, please let us know, and we can sit down and talk."
"The military is willing to pay a certain price for your assistance this time. What do you think?"
Seeing that Ross wanted to back down, give himself a way out, and pay a certain price to get Blonsky's body.
However, Charlotte was not so willing. To be honest, the military certainly had good stuff, but the good stuff that would be useful to him might not be in the hands of the military.
Charlotte would be more than happy to trade Ross for the Tesseract, but even if Ross were willing, Nick Fury would never agree.
Nick Fury couldn't command General Ross, and General Ross could command Nick Fury; they weren't even in the same department, or to exaggerate a bit.
S.H.I.E.L.D.. listens to the World Security Council and can completely ignore the military; the two individuals are not from the same department or unit.
Moreover, Motherfucker's nature, the World Security Council is his cash cow; if he has money, the World Security Council is nothing.
Otherwise, they wouldn't dare to divert so much funding to build Safe House around the world.
After realizing she wouldn't get what she wanted, Charlotte still refused, saying, "General Ross, that yellow monster wasn't taken by me."
"Perhaps he had accomplices who rescued him."
"If you believe I took it, please provide evidence."
"With an opponent of such a large size, where could I possibly hide? There was no sign of it in the crater from the battle earlier. Could it be that I've put it in my pocket?"
Seeing Charlotte Doyle's refusal to admit it, Ross's expression also turned ugly.
Without Blonsky's body for research, Ross himself would have a hard time explaining to his superiors, leaving Ross in a dilemma.
The roar of jet planes echoed from above Ross and his group.
Ross looked up and saw a S.H.I.E.L.D.. Quinjet hovering above them.
The fighter jet then slowly descended onto a relatively flat area of ground, but instead of coming to a complete stop, it hovered about a meter above the ground.
Just one fighter jet is enough to show that S.H.I.E.L.D.. is far superior to Ross in terms of weaponry and equipment.
As the Quinjet's hatch opened, Nick Fury, Hill, and others emerged with a team of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Seeing the additional group of people, Tsunade turned to Charlotte Doyle and asked who they were.
Seeing this, Charlotte explained to Tsunade the existence of S.H.I.E.L.D.., an intelligence organization similar to Konoha Root, possessing a large number of agents, spies, and armed forces.
It is more powerful, has more members, and is sometimes more fanatical than Root.
Hearing Charlotte's explanation, Tsunade's eyes narrowed slightly, and her gaze towards Nick Fury and the others turned hostile.
Nick Fury, who had just arrived on the battlefield, walked straight up to General Ross, produced a Pentagon -authorized document, and began to speak:
"General Ross, the matter concerning Charlotte and the others is now under the full control of S.H.I.E.L.D.. You are requested to lead your troops to evacuate immediately."
Ross took the documents from Nick Fury and looked at him with a complicated and strange expression. At that moment, a communications soldier ran up to him.
"General, a call from the Pentagon."
Ross ignored Nick Fury and followed the communications officer aside to make a call to the Pentagon.
After speaking for a while, Ross hung up the phone and returned, saying, "Nick Fury, this is yours, but my soldier, Blonsky's body, you must bring it back to me afterwards."
After speaking, Ross didn't give Nick Fury a chance to reply and shouted, "Retreat!"
After speaking, Ross, along with several soldiers and his daughter, boarded the helicopter and took off.
The soldiers who remained at the scene, under Ross's orders, also began a complete retreat. The soldiers in the crater were rescued and taken away, while the armored vehicle was left behind temporarily.
Nick Fury had anticipated Ross's withdrawal, as he had contacted his former superior, Security Council Secretary Pierce, on the way there, asking him to help obtain mission authorization from the Pentagon.
However, Nick Fury was still a bit confused about Blonsky, Ross had mentioned before leaving. But he didn't care too much. A soldier's corpse was easy to obtain; at worst, a few Energy Block would suffice.
