Life's Dream
Dave and Balthazar quickly finished the food on the table.
"We've rested enough, let's go back and continue practicing!"
As Balthazar was speaking, he prepared to get up and return to the Training Room. At that moment, Dave saw Becky walking across the street through the window behind Balthazar.
Becky was the girl Dave had wanted to pursue when he was young, but because of the Arcana Cabana incident, the two were separated for ten years. They finally met again in class yesterday, and now that they saw each other, their eyes seemed unable to look away.
Seeing Dave's gaze, Balthazar turned to look outside and saw Betty on the street. He then said, "NO, NO, NO."
Dave, looking somewhat nervous, began, "I—"
Balthazar immediately interrupted, "We don't have time for that..."
Dave pointed directly at Becky outside the window and said, "That girl is my favorite."
"You are my master, Balthazar."
"Shouldn't you help me achieve my life's dream?"
Balthazar looked at Dave and then said, "Ah, yes, yes, I am your master."
"Your master said that if Maxim catches you on the street, you're dead."
"You know, he attacked you just last night."
"Is it worth risking your life for her?"
"Think about it carefully, Dave!"
Dave's face showed pain. After a moment's hesitation, he turned and ran outside, saying, "Master, I'll be right there after I finish my personal business."
Seeing that his second apprentice had also gone out for personal reasons, Balthazar helplessly patted his forehead, then slowly got up and followed him.
Dave rushed out of Charlotte Agency, ran across the street towards Becky, and greeted her from behind, "Becky, what a coincidence!"
Becky, seeing the figure suddenly appear, exclaimed in surprise, "Oh."
After confirming that the person was Dave, he greeted him, "Hey, Dave."
Dave quickly asked, "Do you want to go home?"
Becky joked, "Are you following me?"
Dave quickly explained, "I meant no harm!"
Becky smiled and then said, "I'm going to the gallery in Washington East Plaza. There's an art exhibition there today."
At this moment, Balthazar walked out of Charlotte Agency, watched Dave talking to the girl in the distance, and then said, "I hope I'm just worrying unnecessarily."

Dave accompanied Becky all the way to the subway station entrance, and the two chatted along the way.
I listened to your program last night.
Becky looked at Dave and said with a smile, "How are you feeling?"
Dave raised his hands excitedly and exclaimed, "Wow, that's awesome!"
"I've never heard those bands play before, which proves they are truly extraordinary."
Hearing Dave's praise, Becky smiled, "I'm glad someone's listening."
"Anyway, I'm just killing time."
The two walked and talked until they reached the platform.
Suddenly, a burly Black man appeared in front of the two, holding a small knife and pointing it at them. He then said to Becky, "Give me the money, give it to me, give it to me, hurry up!"
The black man, with a menacing look on his face, shouted and gestured at Becky.
Becky was startled by the sudden turn of events and quickly handed her backpack to the other person.
But the Black man wasn't satisfied and continued, "Hurry up, the bracelet."
A panicked Becky quickly took off her bracelet and said in a tearful voice, "Okay, okay."
The Black man snatched the bracelet, shouting, "Give me the bracelet."
After getting the bracelet, he shouted at Dave, who was standing nearby, "Get out of my way."
After saying that, he charged at Dave and then ran away.
Dave was knocked off his feet by the burly black man and nearly fell to the ground.
Becky watched the fleeing Black man and said in a mournful voice, "That was the bracelet my grandmother gave me."
Seeing Becky's heartbroken face, Dave took a deep breath, then turned and chased after the black man in the direction he had fled, taking out the ring that his master Balthazar had given him from his pocket and putting it on his hand.
Seeing Dave chase after the thugs, Becky shouted after him, "No, Dave!"
Seeing that Dave didn't stop despite her shouts, Becky quickly turned and ran towards the subway police officer's position. She wanted to call the police for help; the black man was too strong and had a knife, Dave was definitely no match for him.
Dave chased after the black assailant, climbing the stairs twice. Seeing the black man about to escape through the subway station gates, he immediately raised his right hand, which was adorned with a ring.
At this moment, the ring flashes a green light, and the gate closes instantly, making it impossible to push.
The black robber, about to escape through the gate, crashed into the railing and cried out in pain. He then tried to push the railing with all his might, but to no avail.
Dave walked over, holding up his right hand, and said, "You'd better give me back that bracelet."
Seeing this, the Black man retreated from the exit, then brandished his knife and retorted, "You'd better go find your girlfriend."
Hearing the Black man's words, Dave shook his head and said, "I really hope he is."
Then, as if remembering something, a smile appeared on his face, "You think she's my girlfriend?"
"Really? You really think so?"
The black man was completely bewildered by Dave's words, then pointed a knife at Dave and said, "What nonsense are you spouting? Shut up."
Seeing this, Dave reached for the nearby trash can with his right hand, and instantly the trash can floated up. Dave was preparing to use the trash can to knock the black thug unconscious.
The Black man, looking at Dave's waving arm, asked in confusion, "What are you doing?"
Dave, while maneuvering the trash can, said, "I don't know what you mean."
Honestly, all I want to do is...
The moment Dave loosened his fist, the trash can didn't smash into the other person as he had expected; instead, it burst into flames with a loud bang.
The commotion was so loud that the Black man quickly turned his head to look.
Because of a mistake, Dave covered his face with one hand in frustration.
Seeing this, the Black man pointed to the floating, burning trash can with one finger and turned to Dave, saying, "Oh, did you see that?"
Dave took a deep breath and said, "Be careful."
He then pulled his arm back, instantly extinguishing the flames in the trash can and knocking the black assailant unconscious.
Seeing the assailant collapse, Dave quickly grabbed Becky's backpack and bracelet and returned.
Dave had just arrived at the platform when he saw Becky running behind two policemen, shouting, "He's up there, running uphill!"
