Sowing Discord
On the other side.
Rhodey felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, and his entire body, along with his Iron Man Armor, was thrown into the air, crashing through the wall of Tony's Villa and flying hundreds of meters away.
After rolling around on the ground, Rhodey instantly snapped back to Rhodey when he saw the malfunction information displayed on the auxiliary system.
Is this the terrifying strength Tony was talking about? It is indeed too frightening!
Just as Rhodey was pondering his next move, Jarvis's voice came from inside the armor. "Mr. Rhodey, Mr. Stark wants you to leave immediately. Don't linger. He'll handle the rest."
Rhodey got up from the ground, his expression changing for a long time inside his armor. He took one last look at Tony Stark's Villa in the distance before flying towards the Air Force Base.
······
Inside Stark Villa.
Charlotte and Tony arrived at the underground Laboratory, while the others were upstairs cleaning up the mess.
Seeing that the Laboratory, which should have been filled with Mark Series suits, was now completely empty, Charlotte knew this was Tony's scheme. She asked, somewhat puzzled, "What made you want to hand over an Iron Man Armor? Rhodey took the Mark II, didn't he?"
Seeing that Charlotte had also figured it out, Tony, while removing his armor with the help of his Mechanical Assistant, said:
"Because of Ivan's appearance, Stark Industries is in a very passive position. I didn't want to give it away voluntarily, so I came up with this plan to have Rhodey steal one, which can also be considered as giving the military an explanation."
"Stark Industries was originally a major supplier of military equipment to the Department of Defense. However, my career shift has had some impact on them. After all, the products I developed are irreplaceable, so they have been looking for various reasons to bring me back into the industry and authorize me to produce Iron Man Armor."
"That Iron Man Armor was, in a way, the final sacrifice."
Seeing that Tony was now completely sober and showed no signs of drunkenness, Charlotte pondered for a moment and asked, "Aren't you worried that they'll develop a replica?"
Tony waved his hand and said with a smile, "Impossible, absolutely impossible with their technology."
"I've installed anti-hacking technology on many things inside. If they try to disassemble them from the inside, it will lock up and render them unusable. They wouldn't dare to do that."
"Besides, that Mark II is an old model; even the Arc Reactor inside needs to be replaced by me."
Looking at the confident Tony Stark, Charlotte nodded and said, "This is your own stuff, just handle it well."
Watching Tony remove the small Arc Reactor from his chest and place it on the table, Charlotte picked it up, examined it, and said, "I've found some clues about the New Element."
Upon hearing Charlotte mention the New Element, Tony's eyes immediately lit up, and he promptly asked, "What clue?"
Charlotte didn't immediately reveal the new clue, but instead asked, "Did you know that your father was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D..?"
"What?"
Tony's face was filled with disbelief.
Charlotte continued, "Didn't they tell you? I heard from Natasha that you've become a consultant for S.H.I.E.L.D.. I thought you'd followed in your father's footsteps."
"Why?"
"Wait, you mean Natasha? Isn't my assistant named Natalie? And she doesn't even know I'm a consultant for S.H.I.E.L.D.."
Charlotte continued to sow discord, saying, "Your assistant, Natalie, is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Natasha. I thought it was because of your status as an advisor that they specially assigned you an agent assistant."
"So you didn't know? Tsk tsk..."
Seeing Charlotte's amused expression, Tony cursed, "Damn it!"
Charlotte smiled and continued, "Regarding the New Element, I've learned about it through my intelligence network."
"Your father, Howard Stark, once discovered the presence of New Element, but due to the limitations of technology at the time, he was unable to fully manufacture it, though he did leave behind a sufficient theoretical foundation."
"And this inheritance that should have belonged to you, S.H.I.E.L.D.. did not give it to you, but withheld it, and has been withholding it ever since."
Upon hearing Charlotte's words, Tony's expression changed repeatedly. Thinking of that One-Eyed Dragon black man, he finally understood why Charlotte hated these people so much—they were all damn bastards.
Seeing Tony's face flush red and then darken, Charlotte didn't hide anything and continued, "I have the general information about what your father left behind, and I will tell you now."
"Your father must have discovered a New Element, a New Element that can replace Palladium."
Upon hearing Charlotte's words, Tony asked incredulously, "My father?"
"Yes, it's an ability obtained through intelligence channels in the Supernatural World. You don't need to worry about its authenticity."
Tony nodded, intrigued by the mysteries of the Supernatural World and Charlotte's 100% success rate in completing her requests, and continued listening.
"He preserved the atomic model of the New Element in the same way that the Stark Expo was built at the time."
Upon hearing Charlotte's words, Tony immediately said, "Jarvis, make blueprints of the entire Stark Expo, from its initial design to the changes that have occurred over the years, and show them to me."
Looking at Tony's instructions, Charlotte smiled and said, "Actually, there's no need to go to such lengths. S.H.I.E.L.D.. has never been able to figure out what the data left by your father means."
"After your outburst, they should come knocking on your door, appearing as a savior to rescue you, and handing you something to study so you can find a substitute for Palladium."
Tony fell silent, but in his heart he had already sentenced this Black Egg to death.
Charlotte patted Tony on the shoulder. "Buddy, I've told you everything I found out."
Tony looked at Charlotte with gratitude, then asked, "Shall we sign a mission agreement now? What do I need to do in return?"
Charlotte smiled and said, "Not for now. Come find me after you've verified what I said, and then I'll consider how to collect the commission."
"Thank you, Charlotte, you've helped me again."
Charlotte waved her hand and headed upstairs, with Tony following behind.
Upon reaching the upper floor and seeing Tsunade standing to the side, and John Wick, who was driving, Charlotte said, "Let's go, we should head back."
Tony glanced at Natasha, walked over, and said directly, "You're fired. Get out of here immediately."
