Intelligence Acquired

Triskelion.
In Nick Fury's office, Coulson spoke up, "Director, Lance Hunter has arrived. He has some new intelligence to report to you."
Nick Fury nodded, his voice steady, and said, "It's good that he chose to send the other party to New York and take the opportunity to extract information."
"It can save us money on intelligence spending."
Coulson nodded in agreement, saying, "The ninjas still adhere to the principle of mission commission. Being able to obtain information by escorting the other party to their destination is very worthwhile for us."
Just as the two were talking, there was a knock on Nick Fury's office door.
Nick Fury pressed a button on the table, and the door opened automatically.
"Come in!"
Lance Hunter looked at the open door and walked straight in.
Upon entering, he saw that besides Director Nick Fury, the only other person in the office was Coulson, who had recommended him to join S.H.I.E.L.D..
"Sir, I've obtained some important intelligence from Pakura and need to report it to you."
Nick Fury nodded, then asked, "Okay, what exactly is the intelligence?"
Lance Hunter began, "Through conversations and intelligence gathering along the way, Pakura and I have learned that the location of Sunagakure's base is basically confirmed; it's not in Japan."
"Instead, they established their ninja village in an oasis within a vast desert."
Coulson, standing nearby, offered a suggestion. "Lance, the Japan also has a desert."
Lance Hunter nodded and said, "I have considered that. The Japan does have a desert, but it's too small and is undergoing further degradation. The dunes there can be easily measured by ordinary people, and it has long been turned into a tourist attraction."
"The ninjas from Sunagakure would definitely not be hiding there."
"It could only be a large desert within a country, or one of the world's ten largest deserts. Only those places have enough area to hide a ninja village, since they are sparsely populated and generally no one would venture deep into them."
"Especially the deserts of third-party countries, which are even more difficult to develop, are more suitable for hiding."
"And perhaps their names already gave us a hint."
"Sunagakure, a village in the desert, and their ninja are all called Sand Ninja."
"Kirigakure is a place shrouded in mist year-round, a place with very thick fog."
"Locations that fit this description are more often coastal areas, and given their need for seclusion, they are more likely to be small islands at sea."
"To date, there are still many islands at sea that have not been fully explored by humans."
"By analogy, Konoha might be a place like a lush, primeval forest."
"This way, it's both discreet and corresponds to the name of their ninja village."
After listening to Lance Hunter's analysis, Nick Fury and Coulson thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.
He then raised a question, "Since Sunagakure isn't located in Japan, why did it appear there?"
"Perhaps they're on some kind of mission over there. After all, Temari didn't initially appear in Japan. Even Kankuro and Gaara, according to the information we have, first appeared in New York."
Hearing this explanation, Nick Fury agreed, but the combined area of the world's ten largest deserts is much larger than that of Japan, making the search far more difficult.
"Another issue is the relationship between Sunagakure and Kirigakure; it might be rather strained."
"How so?"
"During my conversation with her, when we talked about Kirigakure, I sensed an intense killing intent."
"That hatred and murderous intent made me feel that it wasn't just a personal matter; the two sides were probably enemies before."
"However, there's one thing that I find strange: when it comes to Konoha Village, Pakura's behavior gives me the impression that they aren't allies."
"However, according to Temari's intelligence, Konoha and Sunagakure are allies."
"I have some doubts about that."
After a moment's thought, Nick Fury said, "We need to write this down; maybe we'll understand what happened later."
"Have you found out why Pakura came out?"
"We've already found out. She admitted that she came here to take charge of the Sunagakure Puppet Shop, and this time she's here to lead Temari's Genin team."
Coulson recalled the terrifying ability to control storms he had witnessed when they first met, only to realize that the other person was merely a Genin.
"From what I understand, ninjas are organized into teams, with three genin (Genin) paired with one jonin (high-ranking Jonin the team."
"A squad's career will only end when all members of the squad become Chunin or higher-ranking Jonin."
"Oh, right, there's another suspicious point. When we met Pakura, she was in the library looking through the book ' The Times World History ' (atlas) by [British] Overy, and she even took the book with her when she left."
"But I didn't find anything special about this book."
Based on the information Lance Hunter had obtained, Nick Fury pondered for a moment before speaking, "Lance, your performance this time was excellent."
"As expected of Coulson, who overruled everyone's objections and put you in charge of this operation."
"The intelligence you obtained is very useful to us. Based on your request for reinforcements, I have already arranged personnel for you."
"Next, you need to take the Chakra Detector and thoroughly search the Japan to make sure you find the location of Otogakure."
"Their Japan elements are so strong, they must have some connection with that place. It's very likely that the ninja village is stationed there."
"It's impossible for Otogakure to be a country with a strong music culture."
"Yes, sir!"
As Lance Hunter left, Nick Fury looked at Coulson and asked, "What do you think of this intelligence, Coulson?"
"Sir, the relationship between ninja villages may not be as simple as they say. There are definitely many things we don't know about."
"It's not confirmed yet, so we can't make an accurate judgment."
"Perhaps we need to recruit a missing-nin to help us better understand the world of ninjas."
"After all, these scattered pieces of information could completely mislead us and lead us astray from the actual situation."
"As for the ninja's team leadership model, this information only gives us a better understanding of their internal workings; it's not very useful."
"On the contrary, his analysis of the connection between the names of the ninja villages and their locations may be more meaningful to us."
Nick Fury nodded, then said, "Let's leave it at that for now. After organizing the intelligence, put it in the files and continue with the work we arranged earlier."
"Yes, sir!"
