Chiyo heard Pakura's words, but she did not get angry. She simply treated it as letting the little girl vent. With her current state of mind, she would not argue with a little girl who had already died once.

"If Lord Charlotte was able to bring this old woman to this world, I imagine there must still be some use for me."

"Pakura, where are Gaara and those three little ones? Why don't I see them?"

Seeing that this old woman was not angry at all, Pakura felt a little deflated and said irritably, "They went out shopping. They haven't come back yet."

Hearing that the three of them were not there, Chiyo did not ask about them further and instead concerned herself with the matter of her own lodging. "Pakura, from now on, this old woman is also a member of the Sunagakure Puppet Shop. Where is my room?"

"I'll take you to your residence in a bit. When you came here, did Lord Charlotte give any other instructions?"

Chiyo said unhurriedly, "For now, there were no special instructions. He only asked me to teach that little fellow Kankuro more Puppetry. As for other matters, he told the two of us to discuss and handle them together."

With a single sentence, Chiyo had taken half of Pakura's authority. However, the entire Sunagakure Puppet Shop had only five people even with Chiyo included, so in truth, there was not much authority to speak of.

Pakura nodded. "Kankuro's puppet skills really do need improvement. Otherwise, handing those good materials to him would be a bit of a waste."

Chiyo took note of the "good materials" Pakura mentioned, but did not open her mouth to ask what they were.

"I'll take you to your room first. From now on, Elder Chiyo will
