A Gaze Turns Toward Me Again
Looking at Tony Stark in front of her, Pepper Potts asked seriously, "What roadblock? What are you talking about?"
Tony glanced down at the Arc Reactor in his hand and said, "It's nothing, just a minor problem."
As Tony removed the Arc Reactor from his chest, he said, "There's a wire sticking out from under this device. It's in contact with the socket casing, causing a short circuit."
As he spoke, Tony pulled out the Arc Reactor from the chest-mounted weapon and shouted, "Hiss~ Good."
The older Arc Reactor was then placed in the hands of Pepper Potts.
Seeing the scene before him, Pepper Potts stammered, "You, you, what do you want me to do?"
Tony waved his hand and said, "Put that on the table over there; it's useless now."
Pepper Potts turned and placed the old Arc Reactor on the table beside him, exclaiming, "Oh my God."
Tony looked at the new Arc Reactor in his hand again and said, "I want you to put your hand in and then gently pull the wire out."
Pepper Potts turned around and asked doubtfully, "Is this okay?"
Tony closed his eyes and said, "It should be fine. This is a bit like a military operation."
"As long as you don't trigger it, it won't go off."
Pepper Potts looked at Tony blankly and asked, "What military operation? What do you mean?"
Tony replied, "It's a computer game, don't worry."
"Gently pull the thread out, okay?"
Pepper Potts, seeing Tony say this, replied, "Okay."
Then, looking at the empty hole in Tony's chest, he reached out a hand, then immediately withdrew it, saying, "I... I don't think I'm qualified to do something like this."
Tony looked at Pepper Potts and said, "What no no no, you're qualified."
"You are the most capable, reliable, and qualified person I know."
"You will do an excellent job."
Seeing that Pepper Potts still hadn't moved, Tony said again, "Are you still not done yet?"
Pepper Potts quickly replied, "I really, okay, okay."
Tony looked earnestly at Pepper Potts and said, "I really need your help."
Pepper Potts took a deep breath and then placed her hand into the device on Tony's chest.
As she reached inside, Pepper Potts exclaimed, "My God, there's pus in there!"
Tony explained, "That's not pus, it's just inorganic plasma, it's coming out of the instrument, not pus."
Pepper Potts exclaimed, "It smells awful!"
Tony nodded and said, "It really smells awful. Did you touch that copper wire?"
Pepper Potts replied, "Okay, I touched it, I touched it."
"Good, just be careful not to touch the outer shell when you come out."
Following Tony's instructions, Pepper Potts managed to get the outer casing out once, but after some effort, she managed to remove the copper wire and magnet together.
They installed a new Arc Reactor on Tony, during which Tony screamed in pain twice.
At this moment Pepper Potts, holding up her hands covered in plasma solution, said, "Please, please, please never make me do this again."
Hearing Pepper Potts ' words, Tony Stark looked at her and said gently, "But... but I have no choice but you."
The two stared at each other for a moment. Tony twitched his lips, made a funny face, and then said, "Anyway, thank you, and thank you for finding Charlotte Doyle to rescue me."
"Although I'm confident I can escape on my own, thank you anyway."
Pepper Potts turned and muttered "bad luck," then picked up the Arc Reactor Tony had replaced and asked, "What do we do with this?"
Looking at the older model in Pepper Potts' hand, Tony casually said while putting on his shirt, "Destroy it."
Pepper Potts, holding the Arc Reactor in her hand, asked curiously, "Don't you want to keep it?"
Tony turned around and said, "Pepper, I have many flaws, one of which is that I get bored easily."
Hearing Tony's words, Pepper seemed a little unhappy, and then said, "Is there anything else, Mr. Stark?"
"That's all, Miss Potts."
Tony then turned to the smart device beside him and said, "Dum-E, what's the use of all this? Except for my phone and the photo of my dad, throw everything else in the trash, all of it."
Pepper Potts took the old Arc Reactor that Tony had replaced and left the Laboratory.

Triskelion.
In Nick Fury's office.
Phil Coulson was giving a report at that moment, "Director, I'm still following up on Tony's case. We should find a breakthrough with Pepper Potts."
"This is Charlotte Doyle's latest information, which differs quite a bit from your previous analysis. Please take a look."
Nick Fury took the documents from Coulson and began to carefully review them.
When Nick saw Charlotte Doyle become Elder at the High Table, Nick raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting the assassin to have developed so rapidly.
Although the High Table remains a united organization of criminal gangs, capturing Charlotte in the same way as before will not be so simple.
Of course, he didn't take the High Table seriously either, but the importance of the two had changed.
Nick turned to the second page, and when he saw that Charlotte Doyle the Hand and sent his Madame Gao, he was even more surprised. At that moment, he understood why Coulson had said that things were different from his analysis.
After reviewing all the documents, Nick Fury closed the folder and said, "Find some time to contact Charlotte Doyle again. Since he was the one who rescued Tony Stark, he must know the details."
"Pepper Potts is really generous, letting that kid earn 100 million US dollars so easily. Hopefully, he'll pay his taxes on time..."
Upon hearing Nick Fury's words, Coulson replied, "Yes, Director, I'll go see him today and ask him about the rescue."
Nick Fury pondered for a moment, then spoke again, "Pick a reliable person and find a way to get close to Charlotte Doyle. Since he's not a ninja from the Hand, dig deep into his background."
Nick Fury pointed to the Konoha Headband on Rock Lee's waist in the photo and said:
"This symbol must be related to the organization behind him; I need to understand their existence."
Upon hearing that someone was being sent to approach, Coulson considered for a moment and said, "Director, Charlotte Doyle's Agency isn't hiring, and he now has a group of High Table Envoy under his command. Getting close to him will probably be difficult."
