Although he had some acquaintance with Oka, if Sayo were to discover some of their secrets, it would likely lead to endless trouble.
"But my toys have lost their novelty."
"I haven't had any new toys in a long time."
Aria tugged at the corner of her father Caven's clothes, acting spoiled. Ever since they met Yorii Tsugikuni and the others, their family had been going out less often than before.
As the imprisoned toys one by one could no longer bear their treatment and slowly died.
Aria felt increasingly bored.
"There are plenty of outsiders."
"I think that foolish boy named Tatsumi would be good."
Seeing his daughter acting spoiled, Caven gently ruffled Aria's hair.
Just like his daughter, he also yearned for the desperate roars of those outsiders.
The sound itself made him tremble with excitement.
However, even though Caven deeply desired those human-shaped toys, the memory of Yorii Tsugikuni's profound gaze made him regain his composure.
He lowered his voice, smiling with regret, and said to Aria, "But for Mr. Yorii Tsugikuni's sake, we can't touch him."
"Mmm... Master, you're back."
"I thought you got lost."
After parting ways with Sayo, Yorii Tsugikuni returned to his residence.
He quietly went upstairs, and under Yorii Tsugikuni's deliberate control, he made almost no sound.
As he neared his room, Yorii Tsugikuni saw Sayo asleep leaning against his door. He originally intended to carry Sayo back to his room, but as soon as he picked her up, Sayo woke up.
"After dinner, Sayo and I went on patrol in the streets again."
"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Seeing Sayo awake, Yorii Tsugikuni put her down and gently flicked her forehead with his finger.
Compared to Ieyasu and Tatsumi, who snored like thunder, Sayo's thoughtfulness was somewhat heartbreaking.
"I was a little worried about you, Master."
"But now that you're back, Master, I'm going back to sleep. I have patrol duty tomorrow."
Sayo spoke to Yorii Tsugikuni in a low voice.
During the day, she had heard the older members of the guard team talking about how the Imperial Capital's nights were not very peaceful.
Although she knew that with Yorii Tsugikuni's strength, it was unlikely he would encounter danger, she couldn't help but feel uneasy without seeing him return.
"Good night, then."
"Good night."
In the quiet corridor, Yorii Tsugikuni and Sayo shared a smile before returning to their respective rooms to rest.
Such simple affection, though ordinary, felt very warm.
The flow of time is constant.
However, when sleeping, time can be folded, compressing long periods into a single moment.
The daily life of the guard team was often trivial and uneventful.
But sometimes, interesting things would happen.
"You mean our mission today is to find a cat?"
"We're guard members, this mission is a bit too ridiculous."
Ieyasu looked at Sayo, who had just walked in from outside, finding the content of the mission difficult to accept.
When he first joined the guard team, he imagined it would involve fighting all sorts of bad guys and chasing after Dangerous Species that occasionally invaded the Imperial Capital.
But now, they were supposed to find a cat.
"Stop the nonsense, we're leaving immediately."
"The cat's owner is someone special. Since the mission has been issued, we must do our best to complete it."
Sayo didn't explain much. The person looking for the cat had pulled strings through her master, Ogre Ouka.
In Sayo's opinion, since her master had accepted this mission, it meant there was no problem with it.
"Sister Sayo, what does the cat look like?"
"Can you tell us about it?"
Sayo, Yorii Tsugikuni, and Ieyasu followed Sayo out of the Imperial Capital's guard headquarters.
Once on the street, Sayo looked at Sayo and asked.
After all, without knowing what the cat looked like, they wouldn't be able to find it.
"That cat belonged to a wealthy merchant in the city. It's said he paid a hefty sum when he first acquired it."
"However, just yesterday, the cat suddenly disappeared."
Sayo stopped at an intersection. She took out a piece of paper and, while explaining the situation to Yorii Tsugikuni and the others, began to draw on the white paper.
Soon, an animal with four legs and a large tail appeared on the white paper.
Pointing to the cat she had drawn, Sayo said with some satisfaction, "See? This is the cat. It's black and white, with a jet-black tail."
"Does this cat look a bit like a scorpion?"
"I just feel like its legs are bent unnaturally."
Ieyasu's eyes widened as he looked at the monster Sayo had drawn. If he hadn't known Sayo was drawing a cat, he would have immediately mistaken it for a large scorpion.
And one that was wearing fur, no less.
"Shut up, it's a cat, not a scorpion."
"Yorii, take a look. Does my drawing of the cat look similar?"
Hearing Ieyasu's words, Sayo looked at her drawing. She added a few more whiskers to the creature.
Feeling satisfied, she handed her drawing of the kitten to Yorii Tsugikuni.
"It does look quite similar."
"But I think it would look better if the cat's paws were drawn straighter."
Yorii Tsugikuni objectively offered his opinion. It was the first time he had seen someone draw a cat with its legs drawn horizontally.
The entire cat looked as if it had stepped on something very slippery, with its limbs splayed outwards.
"You have better taste, Yorii."
"Let's hurry. If we finish the mission quickly, we can go help more people."
Glancing at her drawing, Sayo blushed. She quickly folded the paper and threw it into a nearby trash can.
After finishing, she clapped her hands and declared officially, "Team Sayo, let's move out!"
The group of four, led by Sayo, soon arrived outside a manor.
The cat's owner was the owner of the manor.
When they arrived, servants were already waiting for them.

"You must be the esteemed members of the Security Team."
"My master instructed me to wait here for your arrival."
Before Sayo could ask any questions, the manor's servant began to explain the situation. He respectfully greeted everyone and then recounted the specific details: "Yesterday, that rare black and white cat was playing in the courtyard. Suddenly, a pure white kitten appeared on the wall..."
Yorii Tsugikuni surveyed the manor before him. He could sense that within this seemingly ordinary estate, many people were hidden.
He speculated that they were likely some of the manor's guards.
From these details, it was evident that the owner of this manor was no ordinary person.
After listening to the servant's account, Yorii Tsugikuni quickly understood the sequence of events. It was essentially a story of two cats eloping due to love.
"Then let's search along the perimeter of the wall."
"If all goes well, we should be able to find that little guy quickly."
Sayo placed Kobi on the ground. This wasn't her first time taking on such a mission.
Although using an Imperial Arm to find a cat seemed a bit excessive, it was perfectly fine when there were no more important tasks at hand.
"Woof woof woof..."
The group followed Kobi and soon found a clue.
Kobi sniffed the ground and then began to run wildly. Judging by its excited state, it had clearly found its target.
"There, it's on the wall."
"Quick, catch it."
Following behind Kobi, Sayo quickly spotted a black and white cat on a large tree.
Judging by its appearance, it was indeed the cat the servant had described.
"Little guy, I apologize."
"Don't let us catch you so easily next time."
Looking at the cat on the branch.
Yorii Tsugikuni instantly activated the Sun Breathing Technique. He moved like an arrow released from a bow, plucking the black and white cat from the branch.
"Yorii, your speed is truly astonishing."
"When you have time, you must teach me how you generate that power."
Just as Sayo was about to climb the tree to catch the kitten, she saw Yorii Tsugikuni move.
Then he grabbed the kitten from the branch and into his hands.
Yorii Tsugikuni's speed was so great that Sayo only saw a blur.
"Alright, if you're interested, Sayo, you can join our morning practice."
"Every morning, I take Sayo and the others for some training."
Gently stroking the kitten's head, Yorii Tsugikuni soothed the startled animal.
Soon, the kitten, which had been struggling to escape, quieted down under Yorii Tsugikuni's gentle touch.
"Then I'll have to trouble you, Yorii."
"Let's go return the kitten."
Sayo nodded. She hadn't been out for long, and she had already completed the task.
This put her in a great mood.
Looking at Yorii Tsugikuni holding the kitten, Sayo couldn't help but nod to herself.
She had completed missions with many teammates from the Guard before, and Yorii Tsugikuni was the most serious one she had ever met.
So far, she was very satisfied with this new teammate who had just joined the Guard.
The four of them started walking back with the cat.
However, before they reached the manor gate, they heard a commotion.
