Although he had some acquaintance with Oka, if Sayo were to discover some of their secrets, it would likely lead to endless trouble.

Aria tugged at the corner of her father Caven's clothes, acting spoiled. Ever since they met Yorii Tsugikuni and the others, their family had been going out less often than before.

Sayo, Yorii Tsugikuni, and Ieyasu followed Sayo out of the Imperial Capital's guard headquarters.

Hearing Ieyasu's words, Sayo looked at her drawing. She added a few more whiskers to the creature.

Feeling satisfied, she handed her drawing of the kitten to Yorii Tsugikuni.

"It does look quite similar."

"But I think it would look better if the cat's paws were drawn straighter."

Yorii Tsugikuni objectively offered his opinion. It was the first time he had seen someone draw a cat with its legs drawn horizontally.

The entire cat looked as if it had stepped on something very slippery, with its limbs splayed outwards.

"You have better taste, Yorii."

"Let's hurry. If we finish the mission quickly, we can go help more people."

Glancing at her drawing, Sayo blushed. She quickly folded the paper and threw it into a nearby trash can.

After finishing, she clapped her hands and declared officially, "Team Sayo, let's move out!"

The group of four, led by Sayo, soon arrived outside a manor.

The cat's owner was the owner of the manor.

When they arrived, servants were already waiting for them.

Chapter Twenty-Six: Unexpected Incident, A Corpse in the Secret Room

"My master instructed me to wait here for your arrival."

He speculated that they were likely some of the manor's guards.

From these details, it was evident that the owner of this manor was no ordinary person.

After listening to the servant's account, Yorii Tsugikuni quickly understood the sequence of events. It was essentially a story of two cats eloping due to love.

"Then let's search along the perimeter of the wall."

Sayo placed Kobi on the ground. This wasn't her first time taking on such a mission.

Although using an Imperial Arm to find a cat seemed a bit excessive, it was perfectly fine when there were no more important tasks at hand.

"Every morning, I take Sayo and the others for some training."

Gently stroking the kitten's head, Yorii Tsugikuni soothed the startled animal.

Soon, the kitten, which had been struggling to escape, quieted down under Yorii Tsugikuni's gentle touch.

"Let's go return the kitten."

Sayo nodded. She hadn't been out for long, and she had already completed the task.

This put her in a great mood.
