Background

Ning Tianchen was originally a wage worker from Earth who transmigrated to the Douluo Continent. He inhabited the body of an ordinary Ning-surnamed inner disciple of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect and spent his first month there befriending Ning Rongrong. 1

During his Martial Soul awakening, he manifested the Seven Kill Sword in his right hand and the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda in his left, making him a twin-spirit holder with Innate Full Spirit Power. Ning Fengzhi judged him a once-in-a-millennium talent for the sect and assigned its resources to his cultivation alongside Ning Rongrong. 1

Although his body had initially been prepared for the path of a Support System Spirit Master, Ning Tianchen chose the Seven Kill Sword and trained as a Battle Spirit Master. Chen Xin became his principal swordsmanship mentor, later adopting him as his grandson because of their shared Seven Kill Sword lineage. 2 5 17

Ning Tianchen is described as growing from a young sect disciple into a young man over the course of his training. His most conspicuous combat feature is his dragon-marked Seven Kill Sword.
