Background / History

Discovery of Lin Fan

After Hongjun's sermon, Nuwa traveled the Great Desolation in search of a breakthrough. On a hidden South Sea immortal island, she discovered a divine tree bearing a Chaos Spirit Fruit whose Creation power could potentially open a path to Hunyuan beyond the Heavenly Dao. She waited for the fruit to ripen and spent millennia trying to capture the spacetime-traversing tree after it repeatedly escaped her 1.

The fruit ultimately transformed into Lin Fan. Though Nuwa initially coveted his extraordinary origin, she approached him as an elder sister, demonstrated their shared Creation aura, and gave him five spirit pearls. Lin Fan accepted her as “Sister,” beginning their unusually close sibling bond 1.

Creation of the Human Race

Lin Fan's suggestion to “Create Beings” gave Nuwa the insight she needed to advance her Creation Dao. Using Nine Heavens Breath Soil and Three Lights Divine Water, then Chaos Fertile Soil, she shaped the first humans in Lin Fan's likeness and created 129,600 innate-quality humans 4.

The merit from creating humanity brought Nuwa to the verge of enlightenment. Rather than use her Hongmeng Purple Qi to claim a Heavenly Dao Saint position, she accepted Lin Fan's True Qi of Dao Origin and attained the Hunyuan Dao Fruit. She kept Lin Fan's role in her breakthrough secret from Hongjun 4 5.

Guardian of Humanity

Nuwa taught the newly created humans the Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations and the Spirit Transformation Immortal Art, then created Wa Huang Palace as her new residence in chaos 5. She later established Human Teachings with the Kongtong Seal, consolidating Human Race destiny under her protection 9.

Her initial desire to refine Lin Fan as a Chaos Spirit Fruit gives way to genuine affection after he accepts her as his sister 1.

She is fiercely protective of Lin Fan and the Human Race. She annihilates Guiche for threatening Lin Fan, confronts Saints and the Heavenly Court over attacks on humanity, and refuses to abandon the Lunar Goddesses to Di Jun's Heavenly Marriage 8 26 61.

Nuwa can be composed and politically evasive when facing Hongjun or the Sanqing, but becomes direct and ruthless when her family is harmed. Fuxi's death drives her to attack the Heavenly Court and attempt to kill Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi 10 11 108.
