Background / History

Founding and Early Recruitment

Mo Yu establishes Yuan Manor after accepting the Fierce Tiger Gang’s allegiance. Ling Feng supports changing the gang’s name, and Mo Yu divides the new force into three halls rather than retaining a single gang structure. Its first declared campaign targets the Wolf Fang Gang, with Stone Rock City intended as the foundation for eventual domination of the Black Corner Region 235 236.

Qiushui is among the early powerful recruits. Although initially unwilling to join a faction, he accepts a two-year commitment after Mo Yu offers to repair his Ice-Fire Duality Sword and eventually upgrade it into an Ice-Fire Four Symbols Sword. Mo Yu repairs the weapon before leaving the manor in Purple Flame’s care 239.

Black Corner Region Expansion

Yuan Manor’s growth combines voluntary recruitment with coercive incorporation. Mo Yu enslaves Qi Shan, the Black Emperor Sect’s chief alchemist, and then forces the Thousand Medicine Pavilion to join to prevent its leaders from revealing his secret. Yao E and Elder Yan retain leadership positions within the incorporated pavilion 301 302.

After defeating the Black Alliance, Yuan Manor absorbs numerous smaller factions. Skyshade Sect, Rakshasa Gate, and Mad Lion Gang also become subordinates after violating their wartime alliance agreement. Mo Yu permits submission but orders the destruction of forces that remain defiant 319 320 335 341.

The manor’s expansion brings it into conflict with the Black Emperor Sect and Magic Flame Valley. After defeating Mo Ya, Mo Yu secures twenty percent of Black Emperor City’s businesses from Mo Tianxing and challenges Magic Flame Valley to a sect war scheduled for half a year later 333.

Expedition to the Jia Ma Empire

Mo Yu takes Yuan Manor’s experts back to his homeland, where the Misty Cloud Sect and Mu Lan Valley are attacking the Mite’er Family. Twenty Dou Wangs, including Xiao Yan, reveal themselves as his subordinates, overturning the Imperial Capital’s understanding of his influence 339.

The expedition destroys or captures the attackers. Fu Ao’s Dou Ling force rounds up surviving disciples, while Old Man Yin Gu and two other Dou Emperors kill the opposing Dou Emperor experts. Their conduct also serves as a test of loyalty before their fuller integration into Yuan Manor 340 341.

Relocation and the Western Alliance War

Before leaving for the Central Plains, Mo Yu assigns external affairs to Purple Fire and internal affairs to Xiao Li. He later orders Mang Dian and the Black Thunder Banner squad to escort the manor’s relocation. Purple Fire moves the entire organization, completing the journey to the Western Region after more than half a year 376 428 482.

The Western Alliance attempts to eliminate the newly arrived faction. Xiao Yi Xian and Qing Lin help repel repeated attacks, while factions unwilling to submit to the Western Alliance gather around Yuan Manor. The defenders concentrate at Jade Gate Fortress under Purple Fire’s command 481 482.

Mo Yu returns during the major battle, saves Qing Lin, and kills the Sword Venerable using the Destruction Thunder Orb. Mo Yi withdraws, and the Western Alliance collapses. Surviving Dou Zuns must either join Yuan Manor as guest elders or return to factions that follow its lead and provide twenty percent annual tribute; Crazy Blade and Lin Lang choose direct membership 484 486.

Conflict with the Soul Hall

Yuan Manor’s opposition to the Soul Hall attracts experts previously hunted by that organization. Following an invasion, its recruitment rapidly expands, while Origin City becomes a major destination for strong cultivators and trading firms 519 522 530.

During the later Battle of Origin City, Mo Yu emerges from seclusion and fights five Half-Saints, injuring four and forcing one to surrender. Yuan Manor then retaliates against Soul Hall branches and annexes the Heavenly Underworld Sect. The Soul Hall consolidates its personnel rather than defending every targeted branch 588.

After reinforcing its halls with beast-clan elites, Yuan Manor attacks the Soul Hall’s Human Hall. Retaliation subsequently reaches one-third of Yuan Manor’s cities, producing a year of heavy fighting before the final showdown 614 627.

At the Great Emperor Mountain Range, the two sides agree to a best-of-three contest for Central Plains hegemony. Mo Yu, Xiao Chen, and Lei Ying represent Yuan Manor. The Soul Hall Hall Master’s defeat establishes Yuan Manor as the region’s undisputed hegemon 631 635.

Beast Region Integration

Yao Ming brings the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe’s elites into Yuan Manor through Nether Snake Hall. These reinforcements supply enough senior personnel to garrison affiliated cities without repeatedly pulling the manor’s central fighters away to answer attacks 606 614.

After the Heaven Demon Phoenix Clan threatens the python tribe and Cai Lin, Mo Yu defeats and enslaves Huang Tian. The clan is incorporated into Yuan Manor; severe but fair punishment resolves internal conflicts and gradually encourages cooperation. Huang Tian’s Five-Star Dou Sheng strength fills an important gap in the manor’s high-end combat power 635 639.

Recruitment and Internal Policy

• Core members retain priority: Mo Yu assures the original leadership that resources will favor Yuan Manor’s direct lineage and that incoming Western Region factions will not displace them from authority 488.
