Wang Mengbin stood in an open area, gazing toward a steep peak in the distance. At the foot of the mountain stood a huge cave.
The cave extended deep underground, where several bat-like Chaos Beasts dwelled.
"Attack them head-on?"
Wang Yidao asked.
"I'll draw them out. Stay outside and support me. Be careful—don't let your guard down."
As soon as he finished speaking, a pair of wings flickering with silver light sprouted from Wang Mengbin's back. Countless silver lightning arcs danced across their surface. With a light flap, he vanished from sight.
Soon, a deafening roar erupted from within the cave. The ground trembled slightly, and the mountain shook with it.
After a while, Wang Mengbin flew out of the cave, two five-colored bat-like Chaos Beasts close on his heels. They were incredibly fast.
Wang Yidao reacted swiftly. He gripped the hilt with his right hand and drew a long saber shimmering with ever-changing golden light. This was his lifebound immortal artifact, which Wang Changsheng had already upgraded into a mid-grade immortal artifact.
A dazzling golden saber qi soared into the sky with overwhelming force, as though heaven and earth had been dyed gold.

Thunder rumbled. Two enormous silver lightning pillars descended from the sky and struck the two five-colored Chaos Beasts. Their bodies trembled slightly before they
