Background

Wang Changsheng is the only son of Wang Mingyuan, the Wang Family head, and Liu Qing'er, a rogue cultivator who had worked for ten years as a weapon-refining apprentice before marrying into the family. He ranks ninth among the “Chang” generation. 1

He entered the clan lecture hall at five, began cultivating at eight, and practiced the stable, low-bottleneck Cloud Rain Art. Although he possessed three spiritual roots, his aptitude was considered ordinary among his generation. 1

At sixteen, he was sent from Azure Lotus Mountain to Peaceful County because the financially strained Wang Family required younger cultivators to work early. As the county’s Celestial Master, he protected mortals from demons and ghosts.
