History
Acquisition and founding
The Wang Family annexed the declining Golden Carp Sect and took control of Golden Carp Island. Wang Changsheng, Wang Ruyan, and Wang Mengbin renamed it Azure Lotus Island; former Golden Carp Sect leaders Lu Jiaheng and Lu Yan entered Wang Family service. 1105
Azure Lotus Island became the Wang Family's principal territory in the Five Dragons Sea Region. The family constructed Azure Lotus Immortal City over more than a year, using outside labor for the city while Wang Family members personally arranged its internal layout and formations. 1110
| Period | Development |
|---|---|
| Initial establishment | The island possessed a Fourth-Order Mid-Grade Spirit Vein; Azure Lotus Peak occupied the point of greatest spiritual qi and became the residence of Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan. 1110 |
| Early expansion | Nine Third-Order Spirit Vein islands were positioned in three groups to guard Azure Lotus Island, while other Spirit Vein islands were leased to allied families and sects. 1110 |
| Clan consolidation | The Wang Family erected Azure Lotus Pavilion to preserve its history and enshrine major contributors. 1151 |
| Major crisis | During an invasion by the Bloodfiend Twins and their allies, the island activated its Clan Protection Formation and sank into the seabed while Wang Family members scattered into hiding. 2140 |
| Later recovery | More than five centuries after the Native Faction's retreat, Azure Lotus Island had been completely renewed through continued development. 2277 |
| Territorial rise | The Wang Family later controlled more than 13,000 overseas islands, then over 100,000 islands; Azure Lotus Island was among the islands upgraded to possess a second-order immortal vein. 2928 4133 |
Conflicts and sieges
Yellow Dragon True Person regarded Azure Lotus Island as the key target in his conflict with the Wang Family. He planned to either kill the Azure Lotus Couple or massacre the island's high-level cultivators while sparing enough low-level members to avoid provoking an immediate fight to the death. 1317
Five Nascent Soul cultivators later attacked the island. Two infiltrators entered through Wang Jiyu, but the guards' unusual screening procedures and Wang Mengfen's suspicions triggered a defensive restriction. 1319
In a later era, demon beasts and alien races repeatedly targeted the island and its subsidiary islands. The Wang Family maintained the stronghold through formations, guardian spirit beasts, and reinforcements from its affiliated forces. 2266 2407 3291
The Rainbow Race launched a Golden Immortal-level assault during its war with the Wang Family. Jiang Yuqing used the Golden Lion Pearl to breach restrictions, but the Clan Protection Formation, World Extinction Cannons, and Golden Immortal-level Bean Soldiers held the line; Jin Sheng was killed by a Mid-Grade World Extinction Cannon. 4119
