As Wujue spoke, his plump, kindly face twisted into something savage. Every word sounded torn from a bleeding heart, and his eyes seemed on the verge of shedding tears of blood.
For a moment, blood-red lightning raged through this sea that had yet to take shape, still mired in chaos and void. Filthy flesh surged, and behind Wujue, the phantom of a Buddha vast enough to prop up heaven and earth began to solidify. Its three Buddha Faces were already visible—hideous and terrifying, seemingly benevolent yet false, warm and approachable—as were the dense Blood Sanskrit and twisted, grotesque Spirit-Mark Dao Patterns covering its body.
Whenever Wujue thought of that person, he could barely contain his fury. Yet he did not dare speak his name.
Forget speaking it. He did not even dare mutter it in his heart or think it within his sea of consciousness!
Those in the Pure Yang realm stood beyond the Three Realms and outside the Five Elements. Ten thousand calamities could not wear them down, and Karmic Cause and Effect could not cling to them. They knew whenever they were spoken of and sensed whenever anyone tried to divine them. They could not be seen, spoken of, or fathomed.
One who entered Dao-Entering Pure Yang had already begun to wield such unfathomable power. At the Dao-Wielding Realm, one could turn heaven and earth and command Rotating Creation, earning the titles of Dao Lord and Great Thousand Venerable. Across all the heavens and the cosmos, such a being ranked as a sovereign second only to the highest.
As for the Dao-Ruling True Yang realm, one who held the Dao fruit commanded heaven, earth, and creation, grasped the Great Dao, and governed karmic ties and fate. Time, Karmic Cause and Effect, calamities—none of them
