The fierce wind howled. Amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood, a tall, burly figure grew ever clearer.
His face was resolute, but his handsome features carried a wild arrogance. Short crimson hair whipped about his head like flames. Red Fire markings covered his bare chest, and strands of blood-baleful energy coiled like dragons around his knotted muscles.

Yakshas were hardly rare. Bai He had seen skyfaring yakshas, earth-roaming yakshas, and even the water-roaming yakshas of the Dragon Palace.
But most were ugly creatures: human bodies with beast heads, indigo faces, gaping mouths and tusks, or huge mouths and slanted eyes, with green flames wrapped around them. Every last one was bizarre and hideous.
This yaksha, however, was strikingly handsome. His presence was as steady as a mountain and as fierce as a blazing fire. Not even a flying yaksha possessed such might.
