Mira Gets Jealous Easily

"Ahh, so cute!" Everyone in the guild gathered around the newborn kittens, and the girls in particular were completely captivated.

Erza carried a plate of strawberry cake over to the kittens. "Do you want some? It's really tasty~"

Cana said in utter shock, "Erza actually shared her cake with someone else! What a... what a miracle!"

Levy and Lisanna held Happy between them, squishing and kneading him. "So soft! He feels so fluffy!"

Laxus walked over, picked up Chino, and headed for the door. "Come on, let's go take a job!"

Chino said aggrievedly, "But... Chino wants cake~"

Laxus was momentarily speechless. "I-I'll buy you two. You can have whatever you want!"

Chino raised both hands. "Yay! Chino wants cake, and Laxus is going to buy it for Chino~"

Laxus patted Chino's little head. "Sure, I'll make sure you eat your fill!"

Feng Lan couldn't help laughing at the sight of Laxus. Then he walked over to Makarov. "Old man, where's Gray? I haven't seen him these past couple of days."

Makarov took a sip of wine and said to Feng Lan, "Gray... That kid's been training on the back mountain these past few days. He hasn't come to the guild much. Do you need him for something?"

Feng Lan took out a request form. "Look, this request says it needs mages skilled in ice and water magic. I thought I'd take Gray along and give it a try."

Makarov nodded. "Sounds good. Go ahead. It'll be a good chance to train that kid Gray's abilities."

Feng Lan put away the request form and was just about to leave the guild when Lisanna and Natsu ran over.

Lisanna tugged at Feng Lan's clothes aggrievedly. "Big Brother Feng Lan, aren't we on the same team? Don't you want us anymore?"

Erza teased her with a grin. "Oh my! Feng Lan, your little girlfriend is jealous. Hurry up and soothe her!"

Mira's little face flushed red. "Bullshit! Who's his little girlfriend?!"

Feng Lan awkwardly poked Mira. "Um... are you really jealous?"

Mira blushed. "N-no, I'm not! Who's your girlfriend?!" With that, she ran out of the guild, red-faced.

Feng Lan asked in bewilderment, "What did I do to deserve that? Don't tell me she's even jealous of Gray?"

Dada Liya slowly flew over and landed on Feng Lan's head. "No need to think about it. Women are just such unreasonable creatures~"

Happy covered his mouth. "They've got something going on~"

Feng Lan shrugged. "Forget it. Natsu, Lisanna, if you two want to come, then come along."

Natsu and Lisanna exchanged smiles. "Yay! Time to take a job!"

Mira walked down the street and huffed proudly, "Hmph! He'd rather accompany Gray than me~ Fine, I definitely won't talk to him for a whole week!"

Magnolia Back Mountain

"Ice God's Roar!" When Feng Lan and the others arrived at the back mountain, they found Gray training alone by the lake.

Feng Lan slowly walked toward Gray. "Yo! How's your God Slayer Magic practice going?"

Gray turned around. "Big Brother Feng Lan, why are you here? As for the magic, it's so-so. I've learned some basic moves... Huh, who are these two flying cats?"

"Oh, they hatched from the eggs yesterday," Feng Lan explained with a smile.

"Aye~ I'm Happy!" Happy said from beside Natsu.

"My name is Dada Liya. Pleased to meet you!" Dada Liya said as he hovered beside Feng Lan.

Natsu stepped forward and asked, "God Slayer Magic? What kind of magic is that?"

Lisanna scratched her head. "God Slayer... It sounds a lot like Natsu's Dragon Slayer Magic!"

Feng Lan explained to Natsu and Lisanna, "That's right. God Slayer Magic is a slaying-type magic, just like Dragon Slayer Magic, and it's also one of the lost ancient magics."

Gray clenched his fists. "So? I won't lose to you!"

Natsu struck a fighting stance too. "All right, I'm fired up!"

Feng Lan looked at Natsu and Lisanna and said helplessly, "Sightseeing... probably?"

Lisanna scratched her head. "All right, stop teasing Natsu and me. We won't cause trouble! But what about Sister Mira... Is it really okay not to deal with her?"

Feng Lan scratched his head guiltily. "It should be fine, right? Besides... I don't think I've made her angry lately?"

Gray asked curiously, "What happened between you and Mira this time, Big Brother Feng Lan?"

Natsu shrugged. "Nothing much. Just a couple having their usual quarrel..."

Feng Lan turned around and gave Gray and Natsu each a chop to the head. "Talk less!"

With that, the group took a train to their job.

Feng Lan pulled out the request form and handed it to Natsu and Lisanna, who sat across from him. "It says we're supposed to cool down a drought-stricken region."

Dada Liya said unhappily, "Aww~ But I'm really afraid of heat~"

Happy nodded. "Yeah! And there won't even be any fish to eat..."

Lisanna looked at Natsu and asked with some concern, "Natsu won't get kicked out, will he?"
