Gray is a Fairy Tail mage specializing in Ice-Make Magic. He is already acquainted with Natsu, Erza, Mira, and the other guild members when Feng Lan joins the guild. His tendency to unconsciously remove his clothes is immediately apparent. 2 3

Seeking greater strength, Gray asks Feng Lan for training. Rather than teach him more Make Magic, Feng Lan gives him a recovered book of God Slayer Ice Magic. Gray accepts the magic and promises to watch over Wendy in return. 28 He later trains alone on the back mountain, developing techniques such as Ice God's Roar. 40
