Background / History

Gu Yuena resides beneath the Lake of Life as the hidden master of the Star Dou Great Forest. When Di Tian reports that Bi Ji and Zi Ji have brought back a human Auspicious Beast, she identifies Su Yu as such and orders the Fierce Beasts to raise him well, expecting his existence to advance their cultivation. She later meets Su Yu directly and offers him a place in the forest on the condition that his future descendants remain there. Gu Yuena accepts his demand for the freedom to leave once he can protect himself, then takes a drop of his blood for study. 17

Su Yu's bloodline proves uniquely beneficial to her injuries. During his breakthrough to Level 30, his aura allows her to recover one percent, strengthening both her interest in him and her desire to protect him.
