Background / History

Master accompanies Tang San during an attempt to ambush Su Yu, whom they mistake for a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. Seeking a possible soul bone, he orders Tang San's attack; the attempt collapses when Su Yu breaks through and commands the Light Unicorn to retaliate. 11

After Su Yu destroys Master's spirit, Luo Sanpao, with a Barrett rifle, Master attempts to survive by threatening and bribing him. Tang Hao intervenes before Su Yu can kill him, but the incident establishes Master's hostility toward Su Yu. 12

Tang Hao later advises Master to leave Notting Academy because of the powerful forces protecting Su Yu. Master instead becomes resentful toward Tang Hao after being struck by him and considers exposing Tang Hao's location to Spirit Hall. 14

Following Tang San's defeat in the Soul Arena, Master orders Flander to pursue and eliminate members of Tianshui Academy. That same night, Su Yu infiltrates Shrek Academy and drugs Master with Zimu River Water. 82 The drug's effects later leave Master with a visibly bulging abdomen, prompting Oscar to summon Shao Xin. 84

Master travels to Spirit Hall City to request the cultivation method for twin Spirits from Bibi Dong. She rejects both his request and any prospect of reconciliation, calls his conduct naïve, and gives him three days to leave the city or be executed. 148

His death occurs after the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family is wiped out; Tang San resolves to find and confront him afterward. 239

Personality

Master is ambitious and deeply invested in proving himself as a genuine “Master.” His concern for Tang San frequently drives his decisions, including arranging for Tang San to obtain a Soul Ring and reacting desperately to his injuries. 72 82

He is also portrayed as morally compromised and vindictive. He participates in the planned murder of Su Yu for a soul bone, attempts to threaten or bribe Su Yu when cornered, orders action against Tianshui Academy, and holds grudges against Tang Hao and Su Yu. 11 12 14 82

Bibi Dong's rejection exposes his insecurity and desperation: he fears for his life while continuing to seek the twin-Spirit cultivation method he believes he needs. 148
