• Wang Chen uncovered a poisoning plot at Mingyu Palace, while Shangguan Wuji revealed that Prince Jing had been restored as emperor and planned to marry Princess Qingyun to the Barbarian King.
• Princess Qingyun rejected exile and raised her banner against Prince Jing, while Wang Chen won the loyalty of Sun Zhengheng and the Imperial Forest Guards and secured supplies for their campaign.

• Huangfu Yongchun trained Wang Chen and six other Golden Core cultivators in the Seven Severing Sword Formation, then led them to trap and kill a fourth-tier flood dragon.
• Wang Chen killed the flood dragon with the Heavenly Dragon Vajra Palm, and the Primordial Dao Stele swallowed its soul and granted him Human Virtue points.

• Wang Chen restored Hanhai Dao Palace’s formation, defeated the besieging army, and reunited with Xi Jun after learning he had been gone ten years.
